I think that the designers most probably thought about the context in which you play the game in each console. For the Wii U, maybe they opted for a more complex menu design because gamers usually have more time to play. In the case of the 3DS, maybe they wanted to use a simpler design because gamers usually play on

I love HOME <3

I can’t believe it took Atlus more than 13 years to release a fully 3D SMT game (I suppose that because of the Powered by Unreal 4 logo at the beginning). I was kind of tired of the sprite-based demons in latest games, even though SMT SJ, IV and Apcalypse were good overall. I really hope this game sells well and we

The beauty of Shattered Memories rests in the fact that it is more than a remake, it is a game that, as you said it, explores the inner struggles of the characters. And Sam Barlow masterfully does that. When I finished the game, it literally left me dazzled for about an hour. I was trying to link everything and when I

Yeah, I think it would be wiser to forget about the food and focus on the merch.

What a terrible thing to watch. I pray for that people.

That’s the best way to play an atelier game! The series is so relaxing despite the time management system

These aren’t censorship decisions, but business decisions. They want to sell a game by changing some of its features in order to be Able to sell it and make money. There’s not such thing as censorship when it’s the company’s decision.

shiiiiiet man D:

Of course it was fake. For Atlus (JPN), the PC platform is some sort of extraneous machine.

I get your point, but the article misses a lot of things about the Persona series. that’s why we are responding.

I have played DDS saga SO many times! I truly loved that game. It included so many philosofical and religious references, it was amazing to play. Oh, and that soundtrack!

Persona 2 duology was the best in the series and even though persona 4 is a great game on its own, P2's dark and convoluted story was very akin to the SMT universe (and tone). The new Persona games are fun and certainly unforgettable, but not true to the series’ origins. And that’s a shame.

I’m not really interested in this particular game. However, the topic discussed in the article caught my attention. I’m currently studying linguistics and I’ve collaborated with professional translators in research, so I’ve become acquainted with translation.

I don’t actually think TRAOD is a bad game. Sure, the controls were awful and there were tons of bugs, but the music was incredible. Seriously, one of the best OST you can find out there. And the story was epic and promising, too bad it was unfinished. In that regard, it was similar to TR IV, which had a great story

I really loved this year’s atelier entry (atelier shallie), too. Gust got rid of the time constraints, so I really enjoyed having time to explore and synthesize. I also want to try the Legend of Heroes game for the PS3. It looks awesome. Next year will be great, the new SMT looks promising!

Uhm... Atelier, anyone? No?

It seems MS is doing quite well and I think that’s great for the industry and gamers. But I just loooooove Japanese videogames (even some crappy ones) and the PS3/4 give me plenty of that.

Great article. After reading it, though, I think that the curse is not on the game, but on the localization’s management: the shift on translators, the deadlines, etc.

hahahaha i loved the article! <3
