So an all Aluminum bodied truck, with a turbo charged engine now slightly edges out the ratings of a steel bodied V-8 truck, and is still lower than a non turbo 6??? And losing 700 lbs from its old self didn't make it any better? I hope the EPA ratings are better than your test or someone has some 'splaining to do...

Maybe if everybody just bought what they could afford, this could be avoided.

Not true. At least with my trades, the dealer subtracts trade in value off of new car price, then taxes are based on that reduced value. Where as you're version you pay sales tax on used car #1, then if sold outright income tax on used car #1, then sales tax on full value of car #2.
