Lots of people find these games repetitive and boring, including me.

Have to wrap up AC4 on PS4 first, and then I'll sink my teeth into the free Wii U games I got for buying Mario Kart 8.

Is that what the rainbow stands for?

I'm planning a big ol' feature with some Intense Thoughts about FFVI to be published soon—look forward to it!—so I'm not going to write a lot here, but since we're all playing it for the Summer of Old RPGs, I thought I'd give you guys an opportunity to discuss the game this afternoon.

Please put this as a secret enemy in Kingdom Hearts 3, thanks!

Seriously, I'm playing through Black Flag right now, and anyone who would call this "lazy" "bland" or "mediocre" is an idiot.

ovencravers — because today I ate POISON.

GAF seemed to be certain that yesterday's announcement would be Shulk.
Apparently MonolithSoft hinted at something on Twitter?

You can play old games every day, but that doesn't mean that nostalgia doesn't cloud your judgment.

Yep, sounds about right!

That entire courtroom scene is tremendously interesting from a game design point of view. The whole kitty thing doesn't turn out to be completely black and white either.

Yep, the analogy still works!

Jesus people, let's be honest here: by today's standards the GB IS a piece of junk.

Yeah, I distinctly remember November 2011 being completely insane. It had a few extra big releases in Japan (Ni no Kuni for instance) as well, and there was King of Fighters XIII on 22nd too.

I don't think it's a terribly exciting list either. In fact, this entire year has been extremely underwhelming for me so far. Everything got pushed back to 2015 :S

Where on earth does this modern myth of blowing in an NES cartridge NOT WORKING come from!?

There's no difference in language throughout the entire game in Japanese, apart from the Al Bhed, obviously, but even they just speak the standard Japanese dialect when you convert the writing.

How does that work, though? How can only ONE guy in a small island community have this accent when no one else does? Unless he or his parents actually immigrated from somewhere else?

No, that's the funny thing, he speaks perfectly normal Japanese, without any dialect whatsoever.
