The thing is, the 1952 Buick is going to handle all of these things even less well than a modern transmission; its design lacking the knowledge 60+ years of experience gives the engineers constructing these things... :)

Mostly these are things that are routine in a manual transmission car. The only time I see people do these with an automatic, they’re either really inexperienced drivers that think these are cool tricks, or they’re octagenarians that forgot they aren't driving a 1952 Buick.

I freaking it when I see people reverse out of a parking spot and then while the car is still moving they shift into drive. Its one reason I never let anyone drive my car.
