Also, I strongly suspect Wells is trying to save Barry somehow, or at least shepherd him to his heroic sacrifice in 2024.

Pretty sure that's Cosnett or his stunt double. He's too mushy-faced to be Cavanaugh, though I suppose he could be Cavanaugh's double.

Cafepress is a Hydra stronghold!

Most of my Flash lore is from the 60s and the 90s, and a quick Google search doesn't turn up a Harrison Wells outside of the show. Anyone have any thoughts on a comic book character Wells might be based on?

We can do that. Foster (and love) new intelligences. We know how to do that.

Whereas I'm more willing to accept handwaves - or even "this is the way it is, your puny human science wouldn't understand" - than bad science without comment. Different strokes for different folks.

No, actually. Without so much as a technobabble handwave we had the Moon suddenly gaining enough mass to have Earth-normal gravity - except when it didn't. I don't expect a lot of scientific accuracy from Who, not at all, but this was pushing it - and not even in the service of a good episode.

After four weeks of strong Clara, we're back to whiny Clara. On top of an episode that decided to take some serious liberties with scientific plausibility and the Doctor's character. Not happy with this one.

I definitely agree about the lazy editing. About half the episodes so far could have been made much better with another editing pass.

Ah. So unless you wanted to be named "son of a bastard" . . .

Why FitzMack? Doesn't MackFitz roll off the tongue better? (Besides, I'd bet you can find a few MacFitzes in the phone book, but not any Fitzmacks.)

What takes that one over the top is that it was part of a discussion on why Creel probably isn't lonely . . .

But is "White evangelical" exclusively white? If not, why not just call it "evangelical?" If so, why, when you'd think "evangelical" would be more inclusive than "non-evangelical." Or is there a "Black evangelical?" If so, why isn't it listed?

Interesting (and a little disturbing) that they break down Protestant into "White evangelical," "White mainline," and "Black Protestant."

I was *seriously* uncomfortable with how similar the Doctor berating Danny was to the Doctor berating Mickey. I‘m glad it didn't take multiple seasons and losing the girl for Danny to earn the Doctor's respect.

I really loved Triplett (it is with three 't's, right?) playing voice-of-the-fan with his speculations on the Koenig clan.

A weird alien artifact that holds "the answer to death," no less.

I've always thought that he looked much more like Patrick Troughton than like his father. Although now that he's put on some weight in his face, he's looking more like John.

Alfred, the rude Aussie butler

I think we're going to find out that Montoya and Allen aren't as squeaky-clean as they appear. And I think Barbara Keane is probably either a major player in her own right (League of Assassins, maybe?) or secretly related to Falcone.
