I figured it was probably correct since... you know Apple had better have enough editors in the office to see this thing a few thousand times, but it was so clunky I couldn't quite help but wonder if it was an oversight. Also, I haven't had any grammar lessons since graduating high school, so that's something.

Which is what I figured. It just seem like a really odd and clunky sentence. Personally, if my tagline for a redesigned product sounded that bad, I would pick something else.

Despite the excessive mocking, I actually think this is a great idea. As long as the USB ports are 3.0 and I get an extra USB port out of it, I really don't care how they arrange their ports. Hell, they got rid of the CD drive, can I just have that one side of a Macbook covered in USB 3.0 ports, Lightning connectors Read more

I might hit Mavericks. I skipped the Lion/ML cycle because I use expose so much it wasn't worth it. The multiple monitor improvements, particularly the wireless Apple TV extended monitor, are worth it for me to deal with some frustrations.

I figure Apple will do something with the iPhone 5S and the Apple TV for integration and release both at the same time. That's the only reason I'm waiting to buy one for school, since with Mavericks coming out and making good use of it (instead of just mirroring) I'll want one so I can use a tv as a second monitor. I'm using NCSettings paired with BlurriedNCBackground, Black Keyboard, AntiTint and Minimal HD. Also NoNewsIsGoodNews, Open in Chrome and MapsOpener. Basically, everything that iOS7 is introducing. Except for those last three. But if folders are larger, the design isn't shit and Maps gets improved, then I'll be ok Read more

No one should be surprised about this. The internet has long been perceived to be a place where one can freely speak and share information, both of which are directly harmful to any government. Government is about control, to an extent that is a good thing, but when fear is channeled properly, no one cares how much Read more

Ah... so you've been shafted by Cox too. I have Comcast now, the grass is the same cruddy brown dotted with thistle that it was before, just at $50 a month now.

They better have some damn good exclusives and free Live Gold if they expect me to buy into this crap.

Hmmm... poor portrait lighting and lack of decent Photoshop skills to cover it up. Looks like someone needs to go back to art school or at least make more of an effort.

In my opinion, the battery should be able to make it through a day running location services and running any app, constantly. Games, GPS, "Moves", whatever. Sure, the iPhone's battery life is better than most of the Android phones I've used (To be fair, I haven't tried the RAZR MAXX), but I'm still around 30% by the Read more

Just once, I'd like a company to release a phone with the exact same size as last years, but with a bigger battery. It's always about "thinner" or "larger screen", but I don't give a damn about how big or amazing my screen is if my phone is dead. 4.3" with the same thickness as the iPhone 5 would be acceptable to me Read more

Meh... I'm using Bing anyways. They give me free Starbucks. Totally worth Wikipedia being the first or fourth entry rather than the second. People get too bent out of shape over the order their search engine places the results. As long as the important stuff isn't on the third page, it doesn't bother me. Read more

This is pretty cool. I guess it's kind of impractical, but at the same time, people wear clothing that's largely impractical and horribly uncomfortable all the time, so this really isn't much of a stretch. I like the idea though. If the tape they used in the Tron movie changed colors, this would be the perfect Read more

Fantastic article and some good resources. I'm currently in the process of teaching myself HTML and CSS using the book Gizmodo recommended a few weeks ago. It's been pretty interesting, but I just need to get myself setup with a program other than TextEdit. Might buy a Creative Cloud subscription once I get into CSS a Read more

Hmm, this is true. I guess since History Channel stopped making shows about history, I stopped watching, but that is an excellent point.

I guess I can see that as a good reason. I know my parents still have basic simply because my dad likes to watch the baseball games for the same reason. I usually just listen to the radio at home if I want background noise, which right now is mostly Stanley Cup games (Go Bruins. Sorry, had to get that in). Honestly, I Read more

My feeling is that TiVo isn't that different from the same idea as Netflix or Hulu. I guess it's personal preference. I'm just curious as to what reasons people have for continuing to subscribe. Read more
