@wjbean: Let's be reasonable, the Galaxy S that AT&T carries is a nice high end Android device(upgrade to Froyo notwithstanding). It is capable of doing everything any other Android device can do. I'd say AT&T fairly well has the high, middle and low end of Android covered. It's just variety in each segment where they

@Steezy McFresh: I don't like it either, but when they subsidize the bulk of the smartphone cost so you can buy it for a reasonable price, mandatory add-ons are how they make the money back. Of course the simple solution to this problem is allow your customers to buy phone at MSRP with no requirement to add data

@tedknaz: They do. Someone correct me if i'm wrong, but the Evo contains the Adreno 200 GPU. The Evo Shift on the other hand contains the Adreno 205 GPU which is nearly as powerful as the PowerVR GPU in the iPhone 4.

@Shook-Yang: I'm just curious, but why do you prefer Samsung? I've had both Samsung Instincts(the original and the HD). I watched what happened with the T-Mobile Samsung Android phone that started with Cupcake and was promised at launch to be updated to Android 2.0. Samsung backpedaled well after everyone was out of

@Almightywhacko: Yeah, I had the Samsung Instinct(which really wasn't that bad and was pretty well supported with many updates, but still never quite became what it was supposed to be), but then I got suckered again and bought into the Instinct HD and that was just a bag of hurt from the beginning. Kind of how we joke

@plusEric: I'm right there with you! In all seriousness though, here's my last speed-test on not quite 4G WiMax. Not too shabby.

@RsK: Droid X screen is 4.3"

@monstermax: It would have worked, but he was going for something a bit more subtle. Boeuf is French for beef so he got managed to reference 3 separate items in one word.

@Izzy: That was creepy!

@afrocoolbeans: I have both systems and while i've never been a Halo fan(Gears is another story) I too was taken aback by that trailer, but then again, it's just a trailer. I have no idea of the actual gameplay looks like that(it was pretty epic though).

@908-3: Touche sir, touche!

Am I the only one that noticed the picture of the InstinctHD in the header?

@obrut-2002: I love British Top Gear, what I don't love is my cable provider not providing BBC AmericaHD. My HDTV is crying out for some automobile antics in HD and aside from Motorweek on PBS, I can't get my fix. Also, as someone else mentioned, we get a pretty lengthy wait time between when Top Gear airs in Britain

Nokia's so damn stubborn. Obviously, they know how to build a quality device. They just need to quit with the prideful Symbian/MeeGo stuff and diversify. No one's saying you can't make phone with your home-grown OS in them. Just make a few with Android and WP7 as well. Look at HTC. They pretty well duplicate the

@Norbs: I know it's not a pure indicator, but my Evo has a thermal sensor and if it overheats, it shuts of the charging circuit which I discovered driving across states over the summer with the Evo doing navigation duties hanging off my windshield in direct sunlight.

@grem28: Sorry, I really couldn't help myself...
