I should have been more clear. The conversion to real money or otherwise exchanging it for another form (goods, precious metals, other crypts) is when gains become realized and therefore taxable. It’s no different than the exchange of a stock, for instance. You can read the IRS website and its various publications

Crypto gains are taxed now.

It’s interesting that Trackmania has what are essentially WAD files. It’s neat that something used to find DOOM cheaters 25 years ago is still used today for some games.

Answer your Hinge message.

A quick perusal of this community tag shows some dudes streaming from hot tubs. Nowhere near as many as women, but a number exist.

It sounds like the $550k is restitution for unpaid wages as part of the criminal plea deal. That’s not uncommon (well, the slavery part is; I just mean restitution in general). Smith likely has various other civil claims he could bring himself - intentional infliction of emotional distress, for instance.

It’s an internet joke, related to doggos.

A libertarian is just a fascist who hasn’t met his cult of personality yet.

Doesn’t matter what state law is. Recalls do not exist at the federal level. States cannot such an additional process. He can’t be recalled.

In the comics, Isaiah Bradley was the result of a program that was basically Tuskegee But Super Soldiers.

I think issues like these are (one of the reasons) why people push for diversity in workplaces. There are many times something very generally like this comes up - an unintended health hazard, very bad word choice or imagery, etc - and often the reason why is, well, no one who worked on it had any personal issues

You don’t have to be set up as a business. General partnerships/sole proprietorships/etc exist. They’re not exactly smart - you should have an LLC or some other flow through tax entity. But they exist. And if you’re self-employed like that, you can still take business deductions (which mods would be in this case).

35% is low. For affiliates or most lower level partners, the breakdown is about 50-50.

I have never heard of an attorney charging 60% contingency. And I’m an attorney. The typical fee arrangement will be something like 25-33% if settled, 33-40% if go to court plus expenses afterwards. If contingency and expenses reach 60% of the total amount received, then they probably went to court and got an award

Alternative Minimum Tax probably comes into play too, but your general point is right. A lot of this stuff will reduce the taxable gross income, not come off after taxes.

Oh and meant to include this. Since I mentioned the Epic Collections, check this site out. I don’t know how accurate it is still, but it has a breakdown of at least some of the many, MANY Epic Collections which exist.
