The Previa is still the best looking minivan ever made.
Another beautiful 911 ruined.
Not a wreath, but I did get quite a few looks transporting this on the roof.
Can’t wait for the V90. All this, plus the practicality/beauty of wagon.
Put it in H!
Sons of bitches. I was really hoping for a Superb wagon.
I had an equally thrilling drive in a 458, but instead of on a track, in and around the town of Maranello. Like you, the 458 wasn’t my dream machine before I drove it (a dream car without a manual? pffttt) ...but afterwards I couldn’t wipe the shit eating grin off my face. The sound of that car alone is worth the…
Jesus Jones! If they bring this here, and don’t Americanize and/or Crossoverize the design of it too much in the process, this might make me consider a GM product for the first time in my life.
“should I pick up guys??”
I’m curious to see more of the interior, and hope they dialled back the manic styling. I’m a fan of these cars, but its really hard to get over those overstylized dashboards (although that’s true of pretty much every Ford).
I got to test drive a 993 convertible about 10 years ago in a beautiful county setting. It was everything I imagined it to be and then some. I didn’t buy that one, but it confirmed that the kid who wanted a 911 ever since he was 5 was right. There’s a 964 in my garage right now.
I had the chance to rent one of these (thanks Hertz!) and drove it up and down the PCH for a week. It was one of those cars that as soon as you experience, you immediately start looking for one on Auto Trader.
Great article. Frankly, considering the amount of work (and relatively small amount of car companies to sell this too) I’m surprised a full report only costs $150k.
I’m not the Tom you asked, but I test drove one of those a while back and personally really liked it. Sure it wasn’t as plush as most vans these days, but it drove like a car and it had great visibility. The smaller footprint compared to most vans is a plus too.
The saturation and always positive tone of all these “hey guys, the new Civic is so awesome!” stories are starting to feel a bit like the next generation of Jalopnik “branded content”.
I don’t think you’re in the minority. The only ones who really seem to be pushing the looks of this thing are the Jalopnik staff.
I don’t understand why anyone would do this, but then again I also don’t understand why people put fake M badges etc. on their base-trim cars. Even if they happen to fool everyone else, they’ll never fool themselves.
We don’t have it yet! I know because I’ve been waiting for eternity it seems for this thing to get here.
Never heard of this song till now, but as an 80s baby (driving a 90s car, ha) I approve of this entire message. What a great video too.
