Try looking up "Journey To The Far Side of the Sun" from 1969. It's about a planet discovered in Earth's orbit, but it's exactly opposite from us so always obscured by the moon. A spacecraft is sent to explore and after a bad landing the astronaut thinks he's returned to Earth, but begins to discover subtle

In the trailer you see the other Earth in the night sky with a moon clearly visible next to it. The moon shown is too small to be our own, so it must be the one for the other Earth.

It definitely was.

Thank you, I was going to point out that correction myself. Although if you listen to everyone who says the word it's probably the most mis-pronounced word in the English language. I'm surprised by some of the people you hear on TV saying "Nu Cu Lar" who you'd think would know better. Maybe it would just be easier

I'm really old and my daughters are teenagers, but we are all fans of The Sarah Jane Adventures. There was just something about Elisabeth Sladen that made you love her, she was truly unique and will be sorely missed.

I can't speak for the rest, but I like Doctor Who because it's just escapist fun that never takes itself too seriously. There isn't a lot of sci-fi like that around and I like silly, adventurous fun. I guess it's why I'm a huge fan of Chuck, too.

I hear there may be a bowtie, or something bowtie shaped. Will that do?

Maybe it's the angle, or the clothes, or just me, but in that first pic Michelle Ryan looks a tad heavier than her Bionic Woman and Jekyll days. I know, useless comment, but I'm bored and don't know when to shut up.

Easy solution. Ever seen "Quark?"

Amen, brother! I'm a curmudgeonly asshole looking for a bot that can entertain people who think I want to hear from them, but in reality I just wish they'd go away. For some reason telling them, "just leave me alone" makes them think I really need a hug and that's when I start looking for appropriate bludgeoning

Of all those choices I think the under appreciated, often overlooked and remarkably talented Tamsin Greig would be the best of them all. Personally I would prefer the Doctor remain male in gender and have Ms. Greig as either a worthy companion sometime in the future or as another Time Lord. The Rani, perhaps.

Probably not even a hoverboard or flux capacitor. I haz a sad nao.

All I can say is, "What he said." I wish I understood this better, but I haven't had any education in or dealings with physics in about 30 years. I try to stay informed, but I can only understand more pedestrian explanations. Thanks for bringing it down a few notches, though.

Rogue apostrophe or not your comment has me literally laughing! Excellent observation and highly accurate. (I have 2 teenagers, one of whom is a physics major.)

I'm also a huge GL fan from way back. He was one of my favorite characters and you're right about this trailer being a complete 180 from the first one. I will definitely go and see it, but the concern you have about non-comic fans is a valid one I think. These trailers all seem to play to the fan and I'm also

Well, I know it must be hard to admit you're over Portman. I have to say I'm not, but the trailers for this movie have looked really, really bad to me as well. Maybe this is a case where the trailers highlight all the UNfunny stuff so that all the goodness is only shown when you see the movie!

That's good news. I thought I read that the CGI bikini had something to do with MPAA ratings. I guess you can't trust the internet. It's almost like anyone could add something to Wikipedia or something...

Unless things have changed since I last read, it's a shame they're putting a digital bikini on Portman for a certain scene. The thong scene might've been the only good part about this movie. I hope I'm wrong and this thing is hilarious, but everyone knows these kinds of movies tend to go in one of two directions:

"I think it's scarier to think that they paid money for that. "

Methinks cortexiphansession misunderstood what you meant when you said "Real Southerners are not the cityfolk..." Even though I used the word "methinks" I am a lifelong Southerner who grew up in a tiny Southern town and moved to the big city of Baton Rouge (at least that's how BR is viewed by the "real" Southern
