The thing with Technical Writing is that your experience across the board can be tied in. You need a strong ability to translate technical jargon into layman's terms, so, you probably have some familiarity with different industry terminology from your other jobs which is good.

Also, I believe some reports suggested she may have Aspberger's or was otherwise mildly autistic (maybe the Rolling Stone article?). That would go a long way in explaining "odd" behavior as well.

My ex got a lot of grief when his mother died rather suddenly (she had cancer for years, but they didn't tell the kids until 2 weeks before she died). People accused him of not loving her, or being dead inside, of not caring (so far from the truth). He says by the funeral he was too numb to cry anymore.

Right? I was a Technical Writer/Editor and got promoted. My replacement was an idiot and didn't know anything about grammar. So they noticed really quickly that it's important to have a decent editor on hand...so I still get stuck doing it!

Well, maybe, but we've had the argument since we began dating. It just so happens that he is my husband now anyway so I refer to him as such!

I have had multiple arguments with my husband about what a "date" is. My argument: A date requires some degree of planning. Does not have to be expensive or fancy, but "I want to take you out for xyz" or "I planned a night for us at home, can you be home by 6?" It can be pizza, wine, and a movie, it can be a 5-star…
