I'd love GOM a whole lot more if they allowed Mac users to actually watch the live stream :-/

You're probably right. Programming-in style, technique, and flavor, do not seem like viable or appealing options. I'm sure an artist can get a pleasing sound out of anything though. Tom Wait's used a dumpster for one record, haha.

Disgusting. If this kind of thing ever becomes popular, I'm going to be very, very, disappointed.

Oh ok, so him throwing the word "nigger" around is not offensive? What planet are you on? I guarantee he would not do that in person, or around others in an ACTUAL environment. Why are you defending this moron? If he came out here to New York City, and started throwing around that word with his friends he would

Dedication is one way to put it. Taking time off your job, loved ones, and personal hygiene to sit in a best buy for 5 days? Now that I've put it like that, "insanity" seems like a better word.

I'm concerned about someone's skin color because, culturally, black people have much more of a right to throw the n word around than white people. There's nothing about mentioning the fact that he was white and using the n word that "wrecks" my argument. You seem to be the only one who fucking cares.

"Nerd" does not have a negative connotation...it doesn't to most people who read Kotaku either.

I tuned into Destiny's livestream a couple months ago, and absolutely could not take all the homophobic, and racist banter that he and friends tossed around in the stream. I guess I'm not in a place where I think it's ok for a nerdy white kid playing Starcraft, in front of a virtual audience, to drop the

It's still a case study, I don't think it's a Fox news some-people-say approach at all. These were things that were said, in the very specific times noted by the people in the video. It was very clear about the fact that the comments were directed at the people involved, as well. The context they gave was pretty cut

Just because this kind of behavior is "largely assumed to be the norm" doesn't mean that analysis like this is trivial, or that it's trolling. It's still important to drive home the point that this is all really REALLY offensive. Hearing all that stuff out of the context of a game sounds a LOT worse. It may just end

I think it's the quality of humans that's killing it. There is plenty of quality music out there, you just don't hear about it because all the money is in garbage like that.

I saw Innaritu's "Biutiful" last night. Subtle, and beautifully depressing. Recommended...bring tissues.

A. You don't have to be a douche about an observation I made. I never claimed to have 'fantastic ideas'

I had given up on DA:Origins when it first came out 16 months ago, and I decided to give it another shot recently. I'm just about at the end of the game now. I found some of the difficulty spikes absolutely relentless, and the character building and tactic slot system a bit convoluted. I just did not want to stare at

I feel like every MMO is just using the Blizzard blueprint. There are other ways to build a game where players exist in a world together than to have these trivial tank/dps/heal classes, and quest systems. Everyone wants to overtake WoW, by doing the same thing they did 6 years ago...ain't gonna happen until someone

Those little portals were certainly an eye-opener 5 years ago, for sure!

I wasn't insinuating that it was more forgettable than other shooters, but in all fairness, it HAS been 5 years. I've played/seen/read a lot since then :-/

Even if you hate EA, Dead Space is WELL worth suckling at the Dark Mother's breast for just a bit. Keep in mind, it's directly supporting an awesome franchise and talented team over at Visceral Games.

Gosh, I haven't even THOUGHT about Prey in years. I actually liked the game, if I remember correctly, but am in no way capable of remembering any of the plot. I remember a bit of imagery, and some shooting that I THINK I enjoyed.
