It was exactly how she wanted it though.
No big fuss. Nothing extravagant. No going out of my way to make it huge or memorable.
Personal. Just between us, in an atmosphere she was comfortable with.

This is how I proposed to my wife:
*we're both in bed together, lights out, trying to sleep, having a conversation*
Me - So...we're together right?
GF - Yup.
Me - Ok. So...when I get to University...if I make friends...do I call you my girlfriend, or my fiance?
GF - You can call me your fiance if you want...
Me - Cool.…
Did you miss the "steal words and use them" part of the pitch?
Or the "world shifts and changes in reaction to your choices and actions" bit?
Just curious as to which other games this is the same as (in all seriousness though, if there are other games that use those mechanics, I'd love to know about them).
Yeah, I think Kinja didn't like the size it's done at...no idea how to change it I'm afraid...
Awesome.
:D
First person, interesting art style, built up over a creepy atmosphere.
Different settings, true. No idea about mechanics, since the trailer for Betrayer doesn't note whether there are stealth elements or not.
But either way, the games both hold several similarities that are worth noting.
And I am dealing with it. By…
D'aaawwww....sweet.
Something about 2 big burly beardy men breaking down and crying like that...seems to make it sweeter...
Oh, agreed. Both is a good option.
It's just a shame that the more interesting looking of the two is still waiting on full funding and getting a serious lack of coverage...
This is one of the main reasons I'm surprised it's gotten so little coverage.
People everywhere are worried about the new Thief not being a traditional stealth game...so along comes this gem, and people are like "meh"
Either way, glad I converted somebody else to the cause :D
Yeah, that's what bugs me to.
I've pledged £35, which is as high as I can go without breaking my funds. It's less than £10k away from getting full funding, and nobody really cares...
Price, price, price, price, price.
That is honestly all I give a shit about with regards to TES: Online.
I want to know how much I'm spending to play it. That will be the deciding factor on whether I pick it up.
It looks alright, the gameplay looks interesting, and I like the TES universe.
So reveal the price, and I'll…
And yet a game like Tangiers, which looks far more polished (yet manages to retain the creepiness and awesome art style) is getting little to no attention...because it's being made by just 2 guys in Bristol?
Dunno.
Either way, this looks interesting...but it wasn't in any way creepy to me. Interesting, but not creepy.
And it was good.
A double ended Diglett?
Also...how long until somebody posts the picture with the manly muscly men with digtrio?
EDIT:
*Looks at Pseudohausen's post*
Yeeup...thought as much...
Can you miss the point of the comment any more?
I'mma have to get my wife some of these >.>
*cough*
Anyways...are your toddlers touchy feely? I'd mostly go for simply framing it and placing it on the wall if you're mostly just worried about having the map itself damaged.
A dream idea would be to hang it like a tapestry, but I fear that would lead to easy damage...
I think I'd just be happy with any new single player game made using the same gunplay/gameplay of RAGE.
I liked the combat. It was fun, it was smooth, and it made me feel powerful when it needed to...
But yes, a sequel would be brilliant...which they clearly intended to do, given the ending, but it seems unlikely given…
It's not just really like though...it's hard to describe, but it goes beyond an obsession.
I guess sort of like train spotting? But with maps.
Obsession would probably be the right word, but I sort of like describing it as a non-sexual fetish...I don't know why...
