@boopadoo: I bought the first episode and saddened to see that it was not optimized for the iPad. The game would slow down and stutter like crazy. That being said it was released very close to the when the iPad first came out and they could have fixed the problem since last I tried it out.

@resvrgam: Seriously, the battery life has to be one of the main pluses of an iPad and one of the main features separating it from a netbook.

I own an iPad (typing on it right now) and I have to agree with this article. If you're buying one just for gaming you're nuts and have way too much money (and should give some to me). That being said I carry mine with me every second of the day and that's not much of an exaggeration. Between reading comics,

@ibro911: I think there's a failure in communication here. I'm not going to be a tyrant in my house but the rules I do have will pretty much always be enforced, otherwise they're pointless and the child doesn't respect them or you.

@iadagraca: Sounds like they just took away the wrong things.

@Okonai: Youre assuming that's the only thing I will use in my parenting. Congrats you're an assumptive asshole.

@PossibleCabbage: I think you guys need to look up the common definition of "hidden cost". Believe it or not the average consumer does not know as much about video games as the average kotakuite and would probably find it fair to call Xbox live a hidden cost. Why?

@ibro911: What damage are you talking about exactly? There are of course going to be times when I'm not going to be able to parent my child but that doesn't mean I give up entirely and let them have free roam in my house. Boundaries and rules exist for a reason and children should learn that the real world doesn't

As a gamer and a father of a young one who's extremely interested in playing games when she's old enough, I have to say I'm thrilled about these options. Parents need to be educated about these features so they can spend more time parenting and less time turning to more drastic solutions for their problems.

@ibro911: Eh, not really. It's called consistency. Say if they step out of line such and such gets taken away. Follow through every time and they're sure to get the message. Waver and your kid will exploit you to the fullest.

@Angry Robot: Apparently not. O_O. Do I lose a nerd card for this because I'm not sure being in to Halo is nerdy enough.

Whoa, I've totally figured it out. 343 stands for how many days they have to make each Halo game. With roughly three weeks vacation in-between because hey, they're not savages.

Hold on... I've seen this before.

Gameloft sells more than 20 million "games" on App Store.

@herogear: I love you seemed to take personal offense and then act like you didn't even read the article. HD graphics was one plus, not the only.

@OriginalGman: Yeah, but people bought Twilight Princess because it was Zelda, not for the tacted on motion controls, so it's not a fair comparison. People bought Wiis because of Wii Sports and Sony seems to have that area cornered

Remember, this future all hinges on Net Neutrality. If the ISP's get their way then gamers may have no other choice than to head down to gamestop to get the corpereal copy of their game. I highly doubt it would be cost effective for gamers to pay for a top tier service allowing for the downloading of hundreds of

@Koztah: That's an over simplified opinionated exagerration.
