There are a few low production quality horror movies that have nasty special effects. Art of the Devil series has great special effects. I think the low quality look of the movie makes the special effects stand out a lot more.

Multiplayer is a lot better. Matchmaking is still a mess. Haven't had any problems playing customs or forge since first post launch patch.
This does sound creepy. Somebody already made Five Nights at Freddys 1 and 2 in Project Spark. I hope this one gets added as well.
