The one 'near' me is easy to match at local gas stations, add in my gas rewards card and not only do I match price, but I can get gas 24/7 and I never have to wait line to get a pump.

I use lemon pledge espray for this.

keep in mind that an emergency fund is not an investment, it's insurance . As such, it doesn't need to be earning any interest at all.

I agree. Dave Ramsey teaches to create a mini-emergency fund to prevent unexpected expenses from throwing your budget off track, then you pay off all of your debts excluding your mortgage before finishing funding of you emergency fund

I use YNAB as well, virtual sub accounts are much easier to work with than having to create a separate account bank for each category. I like the reports feature in YNAB as well so that I can easily see where my money is going and if I'm on track with my budget or not.

worse advice ever.

The math shows that the amount you save on interest tax deductions is less than the amount you can save by paying less interest via paying off the loan faster.

I made the mistake of buying the economic toolkits for work around the house/car/apartment. I have 4 of them now, each one has one or more tools that the others don't have. Even with 4 of them, I was still did not have all of the tools that I needed, so I also have a basket with tools that I purchased imdividually.

Good point. Many sites will marginalize putting money in a savings account because of the meager return. But, something is better than nothing any day of the week. I'd rather put away $100 a month than throw my hands up in the air and say "Since I won't get a good return, I'm going to blow it on booze and hooker" (

it's not that hard. Put $x per month in a targeted retirement fund and you are done. There's no math or complicated choices to make unless you want it to be complicated .

yeah. I switched to woolsies dryer balls a few weeks ago and stopped using dryer sheets.

it does? I'll give it a try as long as it's safe for those plasticy sliding shower doors. I read about white vinegar, and it did a good job though my eyes were burning by the end of my soap scum removal session. Thx for the tip!

That's why I check my regularly..I love to see it grow. I'm sad when the market is down, but I know in the long term that a bad week/month/year is small cheese in the grand scheme of things.

some are interested in how the market and their investments are doing for a curiosity perspective. I watch both almost daily but trade using automatic monthly installments and never react to the market. For me, it's like watching sports..I find it interesting.

I'm trying to get through my game catalog as well. I'm late to the 360 game, so there are a large number of 'must play' titles . I'm tempted to buy something from the list that I don't have even though I already own 15+ unplayed titles.

I tried this today and lost pretty badly. Then when it tried to undo it they wouldn't deal with me at all. I killed the deal with this phrase.

Any suggestions on personal documents such as vehicle maintenance records, w-2's, bank statements, credit card charge dispute's, e.g. everything you want to keep and want to be able to find quickly? I'm thinking about combining tags with searchable PDF's in Evernote for this.

Yes

I want to be excited for this , but in my experience the rates don't change often or by much. Couple with that with the fact that don't spend a large amount of money online makes it not worth the time it would take to use the tool .

How do you organize the documents that you scan?
