If I were going to pick three major subplots it'd probably be the Krogan sterility / cure since that highlights the near-future issue confronting humanity of genetic manipulation and how far it should go, the geth/quarian relationship because it touches on the question of the meaning and origin of sentience and

Tetris Battle Gaiden is great fun for any Tetris fan. It might best be described as Puzzle Fighter meets Tetris, and the mashup is done quite well. Unfortunately it never made an official release outside Japan. Destructoid offers some comments though: http://www.destructoid.com/it-came-from-j…

I had picked up most of the other offerings already unfortunately, or I definitely would have. Getting DS3 for free rather than the 40 something I paid would have been much preferred.

I picked SimCity 4 for my free game that came as an apology for SimCity 5's terrible launch. I thought that was ironic.

Sold! This looked very interesting when it first came out but I don't have an Xbox. I hope it will translate well to PC.

Actually it's because everyone shit their pants about every little thing that you are getting a free game. If there wasn't vocal outcry about the poor launch conditions of Simcity 5 that presented a tangible threat to EA/Maxis sales numbers, you can be almost certain they would not be offering this.

Sometimes evolutionary innovation is better then revolutionary innovation. I think Maxis could have found a way to push for their vision of a more socially oriented city simulator without casting down so much of what made previous SimCity iterations endeared to the players. Also their level of commitment to this

The reason there was such a hubbub is mainly that Nintendo of America basically cut off the supply of quality "high end production" JRPGs coming to the U.S. and Europe in favor of the next Mario Party or what have you for most of the life of the Wii, and the niche of JRPG gamers got fed up with it. When some of the

"The goal of these launches isn't to not fuck up but to not fuck as bad as the last guy did." They're not doing a very good job at that goal it seems...

Pretty much agree with the above. I bought SimCity because I had a $20 credit on amazon from buying Dead Space 3, and SimCity got me another $20 credit. I doubt I'd have picked it up otherwise, at least not for a while. The "Sim" concept has just grown old for me I guess. I'm gonna build a city, the city will get

"And when those companies are publicly traded on the stock market, they're forced to answer to their shareholders. This means that they need to make a lot of money in order to increase the value of the shareholder's stock. Every quarter."

I already own both of the pre order games, which I waited on buying until I a) heard from reviews that they were in general good games and b) saw a price drop from the release price. I see no reason to deviate from this plan for Bioshock Infinite.

A Dreamcast comparison might not be the best idea for a system that you hope will have a long lifespan... @_@

Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom on NES. Mine carts everywhere and plenty of lava pits to fall in.

Agree with a lot of this. Towards the end of the game I wasn't at all worried if I'd have enough medpacks or ammo to survive the upcoming challenges (like in DS1), instead I was more concerned if I was bringing too much ammo or too many medpacks and I'd run out of inventory space picking up all the loot before I

Suikoden II is high on the list as well. They did hire an orchestra after all.

I stomped him but not because I particularly hated the guy. He was set up to be the douche and he got what was coming to him. No I stomped him because it's just the thing to do in Dead Space. All corpses should be de-limbed to avoid it coming back and attacking you later. This even saved me having to gun down one

Dunkin Donuts carries a peanut donut - it's a donut with a peanut butter tasting glaze and a coating of crushed peanuts. It's actually quite good especially if you're not a huge fan of super sugary donuts. It's been getting harder and harder to find lately though.

A doozy you say...? < insert obligatory pony reference here >

Maybe this was glossed over or I missed it, but are you just supposed to invent an address if you don't actually live in Japan?
