They will be funded by the end of the of the day. The idea itself has merit but there are also a lot of hurtles to overcome. They have some good people on their side though, so who knows...

Wow... so I have $750 in a box in my parents basement. I should remember to go get that when I visit next Christmas...

I remember there was a span of maybe a week where putting your mouse over the gem socket on an item would crash the game to the desktop. Also they hadn't implemented the crouching-allows-moving-through-people so huge crowds of people would gather around key NPCs preventing all access. AoC had my attention for a

There's no explanation I can find for their prioritization. Other than they must find some sadistic pleasure in making us click tiny icons over and over and over.

Agree, I viewed comments with the show all conversations on by default before because the featured comments notion never worked well for me. I come to Kotaku to read some news and see people's reactions no matter if they're promoted, starred, featured, or whatever. So the old featured comments being gone is good

Not having a show all conversations sort of defeats the point of Kotaku, at least for me. I come here to read some news and then see people's reactions, whether they be big earth-moving revelations or something as simple and mundane as "hey the name Delancey Street Restaurant reminds me of the actor John de Lancie".

It may be true that the brand will be done if they make a FFVII remake, but on the flipside...

Any way the wind blows...

I remember playing the first Natural Selection back in the pre-Source days. It was a lot of fun but there is one big lynchpin on the marine team - if no one on the team could step up and do a good job of commanding from the top down view then marine team was basically F'd in the A. Worse than that, some jackhole

You see the fat ass receiver on the upper left ? Those usually have a crapton of inputs that let you select from a crapton of sources. Yeah. Technology is great.

First under the gameplay options make sure you have elective mode chosen. This allows you to bind any skill to any slot, rather than using the pre-made mold where certain slots are required to have certain skill types. If you want melee option back, try this: assign a skill to the slot you want to be melee. Then

I pre-order games that I have a reasonable expectation from preview materials will be good, or is in a genre of game that I know I will generally get some enjoyment from even if it doesn't turn out to be the next best thing since sliced bread.

Aperture Science turrets - Vladof approved!

a slight resemblance...

As with many things, it has a lot to do with nostalgia factor. Super Mario RPG was for many the first time experiencing Mario outside of a 2-D side-scrolling environment and in more of a storytelling world where characters talked and interacted and did more than just tell you to pick one of the three treasure boxes

Who's left to kill after GoWIII ... ?

I sunk a few months into EVE a long time ago, it was entertaining. Dust seems like it has some potential - I just wonder what happens if you win on the ground but lose up in space? The remaining ground team says hello to a rain of laser death?

I did not wake up today thinking I would see cupcakes mentioned on Kotaku, but there you go. Cupcakes is some grade A horrifying stuff.
