aw, I played the sh*t outta this on the GBA. I almost feel obligated to buy this for my iPhone, but I'll admit, I kinda expected (hoped?) it would have... you know... some of the niceties the comes with age of a really, really great game -updated graphics or maybe even some new game-modes or objectives...
My uncle had introduced me to gaming with the Atari, but the Master System was my first console (sadly retired a couple short years later by the NES). And here I was, totally prepared to barf out my childhood love of Space Harrier when I scrolled down and saw it pictured at the bottom. :)
@aqualex: There are, I believe three native species of bamboo in North America you can probably google to find out, but *psst* I believe that picture was taken in Japan....
I hadn't even finished reading the headline and I got waaaaay too excited... and then deflation... and then a minor perk-up...
@TheolaRegulus: I just had the exact same revelation.
South Park addresses this perfectly. "It's either all OK, or none of it's OK."
@keiyakins: I don't understand what you're implying here... that I'm wrong? The original Mother translation to be released on the NES was canned, yes, because the SNES was going to come out soon.
@AoE: Bwaaaaaah! (courtesy of Hank Hill) Jebus! I guess I'm stuck having to think of something else.
@tonyp21: I was determined to buy it tonight; had the wife sign-off on the expenditure and everything... now I'm swearing under my breath with each refresh that fails to load the website.
"Patient" is a massive understatement. Having seen this, I realize I can only think to best this by creating a 1:1 recreation of Minas Tirith. Anyone care to tackle that?
@oldirtdog: Heh, I thought the same thing before I realized he's holding the iPhone wrong... Tilt your head to the right and see.
Good morning.
@Iniquities: I'm with you there; which is why I made it. In that respect, is there anything remotely similar coming out on the PS3?
@edb87: Hey! Thanks! :D That comment totally made my day!
Dear Kotaku readers who for a brief, fleeting moment thought that Viva Pinata was coming to the PS3...
@pupaboy3: Anyone willing to flame you over your hope for Kintect's success is going out of their way to be a jerk.
@legendnthemaking: Count me in- with the exception of those delicious-looking strawberries (which I can't eat due to a stupid fruit-allergy)...
@guitarherozer0: I didn't think so... Mother was the first game -Earthbound was the Western release of Mother 2.
