Howard Johnson was sooo close in 1989.  A foolish very young me rushed out to buy his rookie card before he achieved the feat so I could get in on the ground floor.  Then he gets injured and ends up with 36hr and 41sb.  Still have the card, still sore about it.

Makes me want to dial 911.

True. Different cars for sure. The truly astonishing fact is the GT hit that speed in 1 (one) mile. The Chiron will not hit that speed in 1 mile. The front straight at Ehra-Lessien is 5 miles long.

I was going to post the same thing. Her badassery transcends gender, race, creed, nationality, etc.  Such a shame.  Godspeed.  Emphasis on the speed.

This is the only answer.

I own a 2017 GT PP and can confirm that everyone wants to race.

To be fair, those Duratecs are probably better than some Chinese engines now.

I find it funny that you hold fast food CEOs to this high level.  Do you buy good made in China?  Just curious...

Bingo!  This is the thing I hate about this site.

Such a narrow-minded take. Please expand on how superior your favorite motorsport is. Enlighten us. Go watch a nitro event before you spout off about such nonsense.
Fact is, there is nothing in the world like nitro.

I cringe every time anyone writes about trucks on here. I have only owned one truck, a 1989 Ford Ranger that was a $300 winter beater (Michigan). I am not a truck guy. I have no issue with trucks or people who like trucks or drive trucks. I just hate the gatekeeping that Jalopnik insists on with trucks. “Nobody needs

Mustang.

You “see” them.  What, you pass them at a light?  So you “see” them for 1-3 seconds?

Love it.

Don’t respond to the dumbass troll.

You call him out for being a Hoonigan shill? So how long have you been blowing this Dusold guy with the Camaro?

Fans or not, your original take was delivered in the douchiest way possible.

If you say so. Not too many people cross shopping those two.

Mustang all day, every day. It is Pony car Genesis. Without it, there would be no Camaro. Camaro is, was, and always will be a reaction. All you have to do is look at the not-so-distant past of 2005 to see when Mustang went retro. It dragged the Camaro and Challenger with it.

Agree 100%.  I just read Skunkworks, amazing book.
