I may be wrong, but I'm fairly certain that the choice between 5 and 10 seconds has been there from the beginning. The 20 seconds is new (and welcome, IMO)

Over on Download Squad, someone pointed out that you can register for an edu address at Australia.edu, even if you aren't a student. So if you really want an invite, try that.
I actually just edited the hosts file yesterday. I ran into the same problem, but I fixed it by changing the permissions on the file, making my changes, saving, then changing the permissions back.
@pentium4borg: That made me chuckle, but ITLAPD is September 19th, mon frere.
@pmbaustin: Your computer being "not connectable" [I'll abbreviate this as "NCC"] means that other computers can't connect to you. It does NOT mean that YOUR computer can't connect to THEM (as long as they are connectable computers ["CCs"] and in contact with the torrent's tracker).
@TomXP411: A flash drive, a padded envelope and a stamp? ;)
@Posco Grubb: Very, very interesting. Thanks a lot!
Wave? Bah humbug and fiddlesticks.
A food blogger named "Sue Veed"? I very much hope that is her real name [though it probably isn't. :-( ]

VOTE: Sxipper
Addendum to item 9: when you plug the URL into Google, if the one-click-through method doesn't work, try looking at Google's cached version. More often than not, you can read the article there.
Is this partly the basis for the stereotype that 'computer nerds are socially awkward'?
Indeed. And if you round up to $150,000/month, you save $139,881.48!
@nunyafishness: You may have missed this, but here's a lifehacker article on note-taking tips:
@digitmint: I believe Bonsai meant that he agreed with your suggestion, as in "I agree with 'This', the comment to which I am responding."
@Tsylord: The reason your room is dusty an hour later is because some of the dust you thought you were cleaning was instead just being stirred up.
@longbourne: I'm in the U.S. and I'm getting it as well. So I'd guess the latter.
@UnderLoK: 20 months ago I had PRK with Wavefront-guided ablation. As alluded to by one of the earlier commenters, PRK is when they completely scrape off part of the epithelium (the outer layer of the cornea), instead of creating a flap in the epithelium. Otherwise, the procedures are the same.
@Cloverhill: It does search evernote. The "%s" at the end of the url is an empty place holder. When you type in the keyword for the bookmark (in my case, I chose "e") it calls up the bookmark, then replaces the "%s" with any subsequent text.
