Yes, Benedict Cumberbatch is a situation that me and most of my friends are all having. ;)

Ahhhhhhh!!! SUCH GREAT NEWS. As a Californian and a proponent of marriage equality, I'm just sooo happy. I just wish this meant that the ban was revoked immediately instead of pending the Supreme Court's decision, and that same-sex marriages could start today!

Wow, girl has some amazing arches!

I usually do, yes! Interesting, I think you're onto something. Although it also frequently happens when I'm just standing at bus stops - must be a combo of what you and Exmacinator said.

I am so that person! I am constantly, constantly asked for directions if I'm out and about. It seriously happens multiple times a day, both here in my adopted city of London, and my hometown of San Francisco. I'm short too, so maybe that has something to do with it? We seem more approachable? I'm a good person to ask

I really, really, REALLY wish I hadn't read your post.

UGH cannot figure out how to get my picture down!!

A few years ago, when I was 24, I was at the MAC makeup counter and went to go pay for some cosmetics with my Visa card. The woman looked at me, then looked at the card, and said in a really condescending voice, "Honey. . . this is your mom's card isn't it?"

I LOVE the "Stuff You Should Know" podcasts!

I agree; I thought the same thing.

Mmmm, M&S. . .I wish I could afford your delicious but profoundly expensive ready-made food. . .

LOL! I shop here all the time and even though a Sainsbury has recently opened even closer (and between my tube stop and flat), I will be sure to continue to spend my £s there!

I don't think ANY moms who put their preschool girls into this sort of environment are really in a position to argue who is the worse mother.

Anecdotally, the suburbs CAN incredibly diverse in Minnesota, much more so than I've seen anywhere else. The most liberal people I know (family, extended family, and good family friends) are peppered throughout small-town and rural southwest Minnesota, and they are some of the smartest, most progressive people I know.

I really love that Minnesota is getting attention for a female state-level legislator who is NOT crazy-pants Michelle Bachman! (My poor, poor uber-liberal family is in her district and they try to console themselves with the fact that it's a result of some intensive gerrymandering). THIS is far more representative of

GOD yes, the Horatio Hornblower series was amazing, but he never got any action! So that's definitely one thing I enjoy about this show.

Downing Tabby! Genius, just genius.

Yes, a while ago I bought Uggs that fit perfectly when I tried them on in the store, but now the shearling has compressed from wear, and my feet swim in them so much that I can't really wear them anymore; it's too shuffly/shlumpy. I don't know whether you want to wait and see how they turn out, though, since then it

Edited to delete double post.

It's the same in London, and it's complete madness. So much so that apparently someone was stabbed to death in broad daylight on Oxford Street (probably the 'main' shopping street), in front of dozens of other shoppers. No no no (and I say this as someone who likes shopping and doesn't mind crowds). I stayed home and
