well I agree with your observation, and the general consensus that he deserves to be convicted for it.

We’re basing his eligibility for an appeal on whether he “looked shocked” or not?
Yeah, there was tons of circumstantial evidence, as you pointed out. They’re not allowed to talk about the other killings, and while the rest of that looks horrible: They never had a murder weapon, a witness, or any motive at all.
The case that convicted him was incredibly weak, in terms of actual proof he did anything. He probably iced the people, but for people on Gawker to be like “Oh he definitely did it. Screw his right to an appeal, this time” would really never want to commit a crime, because there’s always plenty of people that are…
Deciding that this guy DEFINITELY killed some people (Without any actual concrete proof, might I add) and thus isn’t entitled to an appeal, isn’t common sense.
It’s not long-winded. You don’t get to pick and choose when the appeals process is a great thing, otherwise it’s always a bad thing. See? That was pretty easy. I’d also suggest that you’re being the devil’s advocate, since you’re the one suggesting something that has long been established as a great part of America is…
You don’t get to pick and choose when the appeals process is a good thing, otherwise it’s never a good thing.
It’s awesome that you say that like the appeal process is a bad thing.
You have no actual reason to believe that that is medically sound advice. I imagine they’ve talked to doctors about when he should return, instead of Deadspin commentors.
plus more Nickelback!
Unless your plea deal dictates otherwise.
Actually - I'd suggest that is what that means.
If you don't think there is anger in this post, I can't really help you.
Yeah - Not to start an argument, but most of that isn't true.
As he put it, "I just went back at somebody, and they weren't even throwing punches."
That might be my favorite comment of all time.
no? He probably sprained his foot jumping out of a truck... Like everyone else can?
I agree with you - I'm just saying, that's something they usually mention as well.
Because if he's not entitled to answers to his questions during the media time, I'm not sure what we're all doing here.
While I agree that the impact is minimal, you are ignoring the fact that they have to build all of that.
