I had to read it a couple of times in college (German major). One of my roommates took it from my desk and hid it once because her boyfriend was applying for an internship at the NSA and she didn’t want the FBI agents to see it. (They came by our dorm room to interview her for his security clearance.)

She strikes me as one of those people who blithely checks “White/Caucasian” on the EEO form, never having any idea that the HR Manager may make a “visual identification” for the actual record (which is legal, btw).

By defunding education over and over again.

Clinton is the first candidate I can remember, EVER, that sat at a major debate and actually repeatedly said the word abortion and that she was pro it. I cried watching it.

Once upon a time, I’m not sure when, Clinton said she wouldn’t rule out late-term abortion bans that lined up with Roe. That made her FUCKING EVIL INCARNATE according to many. And somehow that made the regime that is currently taking shape more palatable, because Clinton wasn’t a real liberal anyway and anyway there

I really admired her for that. And, unfortunately, I feel like only a woman could have argued for it so damn well. I clapped for her in my living room when she brought it up.

It’s so weird how invested men are in this issue. I mean, I get it from the my girlfriend got pregnant and had an abortion (although, still that’s her choice dude). But other women’s uteruses? Why do you even care?

Bernie was the one who shat on PP. I think you misunderstood my comment.

god Clinton’s bravery in talking about what late term abortions actually are in the face of dt’s gross simplification and false narrative about how late term abortions work was a moment for me. As though any woman aborts a child that close to the end of a pregnancy, it’s called giving birth.

I did take courage and it went against the whole “clinton tests everything in front of a focus group” narrative.

That told me just what a misogynistic nasty old man he was and sealed my hatred for the guy. He wanted his ego stroked; he didn’t give a fuck about the people.

I have a lot of ambivalent pro-choice friends (they’re pro-choice but it’s not a deal-breaker for them). Whereas I will not vote for an anti-choice politician.

OMG!!!! I have heard several level headed people say this. People who thought that Trump was just monstrous. And they would follow up their thoughts on Trump by saying, if only Kasich or PENCE!!!!! were the Presidential candidate. AND THAT is the scariest thing of all about Trump. The way our minds have changed to

That’s why I was so bummed in the primary when Bernie called Planned Parenthood “part of the establishment.” Not only did he disparage an organization that is a life-saver to many low income women and families, but he insinuated that “women’s issues” are not as important as whatever Bernie wanted.

Clinton stood at the third debate and argued for late term abortions. That took courage and conviction. Instead some liberals would vote for this guy who in the primaries claimed that if gay people were discriminated against, they shouldn’t sue over it because who wants to deal with that mess? They would cjoose THIS

“Sanctity of human life” is such a hollow fucking phrase, especially when it comes from anti-choice folks.

I love appropriating it too, because it makes their heads explode when you turn it on ‘em!

Developers can get extras (usually height) in exchange for “public space” which is almost always lame.

We still should have pulled out of Iraq. Ted Koppel makes one measly Frontline where he interviews a bunch of Defense Dept. cronies and suddenly every liberal is second-guessing everything we were screaming for for ten years. “Oh, if only we’d stayed in Vietnam a LITTLE while longer...”

Israel wants what’s best for Israel only, and no longer speaks for the Jewish people. They’re a settler-colonial apartheid state and the world is conditioned to not criticize their actions because by Israeli logic to say “Apartheid is bad, colonialism is bad, and walling indigenous people into ghettos and slowly
