Totally (though we got a lot of info on bleeding Kansas in our civil war history). I just always find it fun and fascinating to discuss the things people assume are common American knowledge that are regional. Even Americans forget how stupid big this country is.  

People from the East Coast get a ton more info on the Revolution than people from the Midwest/West. It makes sense because it’s local history. Also people from the Northeast learn a *ton* less about the Civil War (Or at least people not from Virginia learn a lot less than people from VA... state is very much obsessed…
