I work in advertising. My job is fucking asinine most of the time, but even more so these past few months. The only person who may benefit from this is my mom if I quit my job and move back to DC to work in opposition PR. And I really really really don’t want to.

Thank you. I need this today... yesterday hurt my brain.

It’s not because it’s funny, it’s because it’s emasculating. I honestly believe a video of trump getting peed on would be more disqualifying to his base than him declaring allegiances to russia while holding a bag with a $ on it

as awful and backwards as DADT was, it was a necessary step to gays being allowed to serve openly in the military. change doesn’t happen overnight, and we all do ourselves a disservice when we expect it to (note - that *doesn’t* mean we can’t point out how fucked up it was. It just means demonizing the people who

If fucking liberals don’t show up for the midterms I may* just burn down the entire country.

Because it’s a lot easier to unite people against one thing than for 1500 things.

It’s telling that the most successful socialist-driven countries (mostly the Scandinavian ones) tend to be both smaller and extremely homogeneous.

Don’t forget boy named sue and cover of rolling stone.

If I remember correctly from my degrees from TNT, USA, WE, Lifetime and NBC, wanting to be executed can be seen as evidence of a mental disease/defect. ;)

When I was in voir dire I insinuated the prosecutor had asked a stupid question and accidentally snorted audibly at something the defense attorney said. I still don’t know how I ended up on the jury after that but it was a very rewarding experience.

Sitting on a jury actually gave me more respect for my fellow citizens and less respect for the police/justice system. Scary.

I would hope these groups will issue strongly worded condemnations of the disrespect they are receiving from these sitting senators who they’ve endorsed and awarded, and encourage their members to stay home next election.

Graham adopting LawnGuyland for that one word made my ears bleed.

Leahy’s discussion on VAGA was somewhat eye opening in terms of how rhetoric confuses complex issues. While I still don’t agree with the positions/arguments against the act (and I think it’s a convenient excuse/specific goal of making bills so complicated), it was interesting to hear the nuance calmly discussed.

It almost makes me want to buy a row of extra legroom seats and stretch my 4'10" frame out in them.

Don’t forget - if your best defense of your speech is that it’s not literally illegal to say it, you probably should STFU.

Goddamn, Ted Cruz is one of the worst human beings on Earth. He’s such a smug prick. If only Trump grew a pair and stuck with his lack of respect for lyin ted.

It’s inherent in any group that bases decisions solely on theory vs. theory + the real world. It’s like trying to take physics equations where you ignore friction and use them to build rockets.

Any chance we could get an open thread on the confirmations?
