Im running it on a 12900k and a 3090. It’s really rough stutter-wise atm, especially on horseback.  The frame rate isnt really the problem, it's the freezing during combat that's painful in a souls game.  I'm toughing it out cause, lol, Elden Ring is amazing, but I hope they fix this sooner than later.

This. FFXIV is without a doubt the de-facto MMO now; they literally had to stop selling it. It has over 3 Million players per day.  This is to say nothing of GTA Online (the microtransactions leader) as well as the titles you mentioned.

They could take the Metro Exodus approach. Mix of smaller open world areas and largely-linear action sequences with story segments to break up each act.

They fixed it on the home release less than a week after it dropped. I’ve got a pretty high end system, and the difference is extremely noticeable. I had to have the thing louder than the local theater to hear the dialogue in some scenes before.
