@KingFrog: I don't know anything about "fat princess'es character", but in Japan holding up four fingers is a discriminatory insult against "Eta" or "Burakumin" (official name is "Hisabetsu burakumin", IIRC), who are descendants of members of what used to be an "untouchable" group in the Japanese feudal caste system.
