This is a better replacement for the Jeep Cherokee XJ than anything Jeep has made since then. Want. Bad. I'd almost sell mine XJ for one. And mine is this one.

Yup. My parents bought it new and I won't let it go, ever. It's my winter car.
It has a nut on it, but the nut doesn't have the fancy cap.
It's missing the fancy lug bolt, but now I'm going out in the driveway to look.
That Jeep looks REALLY familiar..... (I wonder why.....)
Indeed.
Agreed on high elevation, I sort of eluded to that. And Turbocharging and Supercharging are fundamentally different methods of adding power. Both add air, but they do so in very different ways each with their own advantages and disadvantages.
Supercharging specifically means heat soak, which means when you beat on it at track days, you lose power as the engine gets hot. With an NA motor, it will pretty much always make it's advertised power barring a few things, like elevation and very high ambient temperatures. NA is just more durable for a track machine.…
My 1999 XJ Classic is still a tank. It's my snow vehicle so I can drive my Mustang the rest of the year. If I were a rich man, I'd build a stonking stroker motor out of it and make it some sort obscenely fast and dangerous vehicle. Wish every motor made torque like the 4.0.
Car such as this are referred to as "drift missiles". They are generally practice cars, that were either thrashed to start with, or thrashed from prior drifting. Yeah, they are beat to shit, but that means you can try stuff and experiment without ruining your proper race car.
My first car was a 97 Stratus V6. This was a regular joke between myself and my friends. It was a pretty rocking first car. 170HP and "Autostick" so I could sort of shift it myself. I'm much happier with a proper 3 pedal car now, but I drove that Stratus for like 6 years and it was never all that bad.
As a twenty-something and peer of many of these people, it's A LOT of sport bikes and drunk driving. Kids are stupid to start with, add to that a brainwashing of fearlessness and the fact that many of these guys aren't exactly the best and brightest and you can see how it ends. This is obviously not a blanket…
You just keep doing your thing there Warren. Can we get a new Twinstar sort of thing made out of new Buick Regals? Imagine 2x 2.0L Turbo ECOTECs belting out a combined 540 hp to all 4 wheels. Bonus points for 4WS. I triple dog dare you Warren Mosler.
So basically what Hamann is saying is "Your move Mansory, your fucking move!"
Head-Fi is a fantastic community that I once frequented. I've got a few nice pairs of headphones, but nothing of this level of cost or quality. Truth be told, getting the RIGHT pair of $100-200 headphones is an ENORMOUS jump over what most people use, but after that, the improvements are smaller and smaller. Its a…
I just started using YoruFukurou on my Mac and I love it, but I also love the hell out of Tweetbot. I will certainly try the Mac client, but who knows if it will become my new favorite Mac app. Why can't I get something this good on Windows too? DestroyTwitter is alright, but not as good as Tweetbot or YoruFukurou.
This is what came to mind when I heard speed bicycling record attempt.
My current car was a great decision. Almost 4 years ago, before the credit market locked up, I managed to get a 5 year loan at 0% interest on a USED car. A 2003 Mustang V6/5spd. Its the first car I bought with my own money. I love that car so much. Its got enough power to have fun and get the rear tires spinning, it…
