@CremeBruDont: China's culture has evolved with quite a few famines in the past... so I wouldn't be surprised if cat/dog eating came out of those desperate times. A lot of the weird food eaten around the world, like that pickled fish in Sweden, became habits after the region suffered famine.

Lawyers: I need advice. Is it legal in Connecticut to record an in-person conversation in which you are part of it if the other person wouldn't agree? e.g. a verbally abusive roommate yelling at you.. is that ok to record without the roommate's consent? Lawyer Jezzies who have been following the Prop 8 trial: What's your opinion? I am biased towards the plaintiffs, so I find that their witnesses have presented well and the scientific and historical arguments make sense to me. So, what's your opinion of how both sides have been doing?

Raising awareness of an issue is a noble goal, but there are more tasteful and less expensive ways to do so than PETA does. Wasting so much money on high profile ads and odd stunts is quite a shame, when you consider how much that money could help towards feeding and caring for animals.

I think I'm now convinced that Noah Cyrus is in fact Regina George's little sister from Mean Girls...
