“World’s Fastest 7-Seater”
370Z is in the same ballpark as a Mustang GT, which offers more power, better looks (subjective I know), the “cool factor” (to people who aren’t familiar with Mustangs leaving car meets), and best of all, a car that wasn’t already 12 years old when it rolled off the assembly line. For the people who enjoy track days,…
A winning lottery ticket. A new GT-R would make a nice daily driver for me. Other than that car, nothing in the current lineup is even remotely interesting. Boring sedans, crossovers, an ancient midsize pickup, and a full-size truck that is worse in every measurable way than its competitors. If the Xterra were still…
I do not find this truck appealing in any way, but then, I can say the same thing about all the people in my family, so I’m probably not the target audience.
Most full-sized pickup trucks (that are not sold in fleets) are essentially $55,000 cowboy hats.
1) Those aren’t factory wheels, they’re OEM accessory wheel, purchased from your local BMW Center’s parts boutique (also available in black chrome finish, if I remember correctly).
You are correct; those are not the factory wheels for a 2006 650i. If I remember my dealership days correctly (and I’ve done my best to wash them from my memory), those are BMW accessory wheels, available from 2008 or so. Most of them left the factory with these wheels, which I believe were 18" or 19.”
No surprises here. Now that the new-car hype has worn off, it’s just a pickup truck, and in that world, bigger is always better. Why buy a midsize when you could have a full-sized truck is in the same price range, after incentives?
From the factory, the brake lights and turn signals on my 2017 GTI functioned in exactly the same way. I solved this problem by recoding the light control module to also use the inner taillights as brake lights, so that the inner ones are still lit when I have to apply the brakes and use the turn signals at the same…
Does FL not issue special plates for government vehicles? In my home state (a reasonable place, rather than the orgy of meth and cockroaches that is FL), all government vehicles, be they state, county, or local, have license plates with a small x where the space would be; a privately-owned vehicle gets “AAA 1234"…
221k is pretty far from “mega-mileage” on one of these. My 2002 RSX Type-S (similar engine, higher redline) had 170k when I sold it in 2015, and the only reason I sold it when I did was the clutch was starting to slip and the windshield was cracked, along with some other minor faults. I’d have fixed everything wrong…
Burnouts are amusement for the simple.
A great car at a great price, assuming you’re never going to look at the outside of it. A shame, really; Porche built a great car, but then tried to give it family resemblance to the 911, and basically ruined it.
What color is the sky in the world where Aston Martin Financial Services allows you to transfer a lease to someone else? Because there are a lot of companies leasing $25,000 cars which won’t.
VW’s oil service interval is roughly 10K or annually. I bought mine at the end of October 2017, and the maintenance reminder started lighting up as Labor Day weekend approached, coinciding with the car’s build date (with roughly 7500 miles on it by then). So if the plan is 4 years and the car isn’t driven 10K/yr, it…
I can appreciate the concept of an anonymous-looking performance car (early BMW M5), but I agree, this one just looked too much like a rented Malibu.
I still don’t understand how they think that EPA regulations are the things making cars more expensive.
I’m pretty certain that the world’s 2nd-largest economy actively working to accelerate climate change, is a real problem.
$60k for a 25 year old GT car with 436HP is just lunacy. Especially this one. OOOOOOOOhhhh, an outsourced airbag steering wheel! Bland looks made even blander by the 1990s Forest Green Metallic paint! If you’re going to buy a used exotic, get one that turns heads, not this average-looking thing.
Because AWD owners believe that those 3 magic letters make them completely immune to road conditions. (Yes, that’s a sweeping generalization, but I’ve had some of them get quite vehement when I’ve suggested winter tires.)
