True, and those haven’t aged terribly well either. Both of them just scream “Rich golfer who frequents the tanning salon and invites underage girls to go out on his boat.”

Yeah, you can never un-see it now. Sorry.

Unpopular Opinion: The DB7 has not aged well. Not this one in particular, but the entire car. It looks misproportioned, but in a way that’s hard to describe, almost as if someone saw the 2006 DBS in Casino Royale, and decided to make a replica body that would fit on his 1998 Thunderbird chassis. But, since it would be

If Chris Bangle were dead, we’d hear his laughter from beyond the grave.

Have you ever seen a trump supporter do otherwise?

Yes, and one could argue that a RAV4 gets better mileage than a Veyron, but that’s not an accurate comparison either. Specifically:

That. Is. An. Awesome. Picture.

It’s more like questioning why some people feel that using 2 gallons of water to make one boiled egg is a good idea. That sort of wasteful stupidity has had an effect on all of us, and is therefore everyone’s business.

God, I love when a man who has no concept of how the global economy works is defended by his simple-simon supporters, who have even less idea of how the global economy works.

1st gear: Boy, who would have thought that a bewildered old racist who has no knowledge of the global economy could possibly fuck things up so badly?

A few dozen out of a few million. Gotcha.

Doesn’t matter, no one takes a brand-new SUV off the pavement anyway.

Rubbish. You’d never see a single person who occasionally carries passengers choose a minivan over a sedan or coupe. No one buys a roadster to pull a camper. That statement is complete nonsense.

“Our driver was killed in a crash? How’s the car?”

The electric motor is turbocharged? That’s a world-first! Or did you mean the gasoline engine, which is a completely different piece of machinery?

Perhaps they’re not the same in terms of design and intended purpose, but as far as how they’re actually used by the majority of the owners, all SUVs are indeed the same.

A friend of mine (with 2 kids, aged 10 and 7) claimed that she would rather be dead than drive a minivan. So she bought a Traverse instead.

You’re absolutely correct, as I have no personal experience with baby seats, and my observations were based on what I’ve seen others do with their cars. In both cases, the seats were probably not rear-facing, and the drivers probably weren’t as tall. The closest I’ve come is putting a child seat for a 7 year old in

Refer to the part where I said that virtually all new car purchases are emotional decisions. Then, using the power of hindsight, look back on your own life and reexamine the times in your life when you made emotional decisions, and the consequences of those decisions, before getting off of your high horse.

As I’ve said many times over in the NPOCP comments section, “rare” is not synonymous with “good.” (see: a lot of the crap from the 1960s on sale at any given Mecum or Barrett-Jackson auction.)
