SCC did that about 10 miles from my house. I didnt hear about it until I was over or I would have went and watched!

You know, Ive got to give these guys credit. They stood up for something they really believed in. Ya it sounds pretty stupid to us, but obviously these guys take this kind of thing pretty seriously.
I use to work a dealer, that didnt have the best reputation. Had a bunch of good mechanics that weren't out to screw anyone. The bad reputation came from the guys behind the counter not the toolbox. Most service writers/managers get paid a percentage not a wage. So they try and get every dime out of a customer they…
I am just giving you a hard time, dont take it personal. I didnt realize that you have your own shop, I think thats awesome. Id love to be on my own one day instead of making a bunch of money for the boss while Im still broke. The whole parts changer thing is a joke from a shop I use to work at, and when I read that…
Technician? Yes, parts changer? No.
So you hate Chryslers because you can not figure out how to fix them? That makes sense... what do you do when you have to work on a VW?
Ill second that. Middle of the hook back looks good.
This game is horrible. One tap of a left/right arrow key and you go into the wall. Try to go around a corner, and you go into a wall. Try to turn, hit a wall. Try to go in a straight line, go into a wall. Awesome concept, as I often plot "dirt routes" using google maps and this is a very fun way to do that, but…
Im the same way. I love watching documentaries, but I cant watch much on 9/11. Just too hard, when I do watch them I watch them in pieces. Im on the other side of the country, I dont know anyone who was lost during 9/11. Just the other day I was thinking that it must be hard for the people that where there, or lost…
Thats the reason I dont have any tattoo's. If I think one up I really want I make myself wait 6 months to get the tattoo, if I still want it. Ive thought up a few ideas and still have no tats. Now that I am older I plan on keeping it that way!
I hope the new intern doesn't hate American cars like the current ones/one. The AOTD picks have been horrible lately. It seems if its not a Japanese or German car they see nothing in it. I was just about to nominate a American car for the current AOTD question but it was a American car and decided to not waste my time…
Ive been wanting to go to the flats ever since I watched "worlds fastest indian". Last year a buddy of mine planned a trip and my health problems got in the way. Things were not any better this year so we really didnt talk about, but hopefully next year will be the year. its a 12 hour drive from where we live and were…
This is the first I have ever heard of this... was it not a car sold in the US?
Very impressive! Some day I really hope I can afford to build a street car that will pull like that!
I will second that! Ive dragged alot of cars, none of them out of the 13's but I had the most fun in a sohc neon sedan that I got down to a 15.8 with nothing more then a couple easy/cheap mods. If you dont "get" drag racing either you haven't tried it, or you are taking the wrong car!
My guess is that it was damaged during transport. Then "fixed" with the cheaper, non painted flairs. The dealer hoped no on would notice, and they did. I use to work for a body shop that did alot of dealer work. You would be surprised the crap they would pull even on new cars. I once put a new front end on a brand new…
Out of curiosity, have you opened up the phone book and started calling other GM dealers in your area? I would think you could find a dealer that would be more then happy to sell you the cars without the markup.
That is REALLY sad the volt is rated at 37mpg. My 97 neon that has 150k on the motor gets 33-35 and I beat the crap out of it. If I drove conservatively and gave it a tune up it I think getting it to hit 37 would be easy and honestly I would probably beat that number. Thats with a 2.0 DOHC motor and the "low geared"…
I just noticed that... hahahahhahaaa. I meant 90mph, lol.
This seems like a great way to raise revenue without raising taxes. As the speeds go up the fuel mileage will go down making people buy more gas. Therefore, paying more in gas taxes. Personally I would be fine with paying a little more to be able to cruise at 90mpg legally...
