As I said to another poster, you can blame Scuf. They hold a patent on back button tech and are fairly litigious.

You can blame Scuf for the lack of a DualSense compatible add-on.

Ergonomics nightmare aside, this could very well be my solution for PC and Xbox gaming.

Yeah, my television memories increasingly seem to have VHS distortion built in.

Yeah, I got curious after posting my reply and looked it up. Shame there doesn’t appear to be any sort of convenient viewing for those of us in the United States. DVDs and Blurrays on Amazon all looked to be region locked.

Ah, yes. I went down a similarly Nick-fueled rabbit hole a while back after finally remembering the name of the show (Spartakus - not Esteban - and the Sun Beneath the Sea). Prior to that, I would constantly get it and the Mysterious Cities of Gold confused with one another. To the extent that my childhood memories

Funny thing is, despite definitely watching Spartakus and the Sun Beneath the Sea as a kid, I can’t recall a single episode. Hell, it even took years of occasionally ruminating on the parts of my childhood spent in front of a television (Spoiler! A lot of it.) to so much as remember the name of the show.

While this appears to be aimed primarily at Millennials, I appreciate Ludosity tossing Gen Xers a bone in the form of Ren & Stimpy and, most notably, the ‘87 Turtles - despite that incarnation not originally airing on Nickelodeon.

Mankind knew that they could not change society, so instead of reflecting upon themselves, they blamed the soundtrack. Habbo Hotel? Let’s Rock!

Man, I miss the Vista. Used to live a few blocks away from it and it was just the best place to see a new release. Gorgeous, Egyptian-themed auditorium, arctic A/C, the manager would dress up like a character from whatever film they were featuring and greet patrons at the door. Matinee prices weren’t too outrageous,

What I want is Control’s aesthetics mixed with Returnal’s weapon and encounter design.

How the Judgment remaster isn’t part of this list - while Assassin’s Creed appears twice in both regular and diet - is beyond me.

Yeah, that’s pretty much how I felt about three of the five most recent Star Wars films. And is, in fact, how I watched all three of them. I’ve yet to see Solo - and probably never will - but Episode IX may possibly get a screening the next time I’m feeling achey and fatigued.

As somebody with absolutely no stake in the Marvel versus DC rivalry...I didn’t think the original Suicide Squad was bad?

Are you me? Because you just described my time working at Borders Books and Music to a T. Right down to the Oprah bullshit.

I’m glad Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio’s been branching out more with the playable arcade (now console) games in Judgment. I loved loved that Yakuza 5 finally featured real games in the Club Sega Arcades (and had a pretty great lineup to boot, plus the best UFO Catcher in the entire series). The addition of Virtua Fighter 5

I’ve bounced hard off of every 3D Zelda I’ve ever tried - and I’ve played all of them apart from Skyward Sword and Breath of the Wild. And while I’ll have my shot to continue this losing streak with Skyward Sword’s Switch port next month, I’m not sure I’ll ever bother with Breath of the Wild. The game appears to be

Not that it was an especially high bar to clear, but Nintendo’s presentation handily blew everyone else’s show outta the water.

Yeah, I’m only about six or so games away from having what - given my tastes - feels like a ‘complete’ PlayStation 3 collection. Unfortunately, Afrika and Knight’s Contract were hard to come by at launch - let alone a decade onwards. And Way of the Samurai 3 has become increasingly hard to find (as opposed maybe five

The PlayStation 5 doesn’t have the type of laser required to read CDs. So proper PSX compatibility is out the window no matter what. The best you’re getting is a classics program, which, to be fair, is still seen as one and the same in most people’s eyes, so whatever. I have no idea what additional technical or rights
