there’s almost nothing you could be playing on your new boxes right now that wouldn’t play nearly as well on the PlayStation 4 or Xbox One that was probably already in your home.

I’ve cooled on that specific installment over the years. At one point, it was actually my favorite in the series. Then I realized what I really loved about Marvel Super Heroes Vs. Street Fighter was Sakura, Norimaro, and the announcer and that’s all. Everything else just felt like a less good X-Men Vs. Street Fighter.

Well, assuming the game you’re referring to is X-Men Vs. Street Fighter, I believe it may have had the most widespread distribution of the bunch. Speaking for myself, I never once saw a Marvel Super Heroes Vs. Street Fighter cab out in the wild. Not once. I only ever played that game on the PlayStation and later on

The original, yeah. That game was amazing. Overdose...eh. Whatever blows your skirt up, I guess.

X-Men Vs. Street Fighter remains my favorite to this day. (And I’m still miffed that Rogue was snubbed in favor of Gambit for Clash of Super Heroes.) Heretical as it may be, I never actually liked New Age of Heroes all that much. (Ditto Melee, which I always saw as a rough contemporary.)

Undecided and/or swing voters come in basically two flavors: Trump voters who stay mum because they don’t wanna get yelled at and dudes who never miss an opportunity to play devil’s advocate.

There is something about being pursued by a lone enemy which, when done well, is so very effective.

My earliest horror game experience is Ghosts N’ Goblins. Though it’s due entirely to the monster I become just trying to beat stage two.

Hopefully this also has the added benefit of increasing the demand for quality wireless controllers for the Turbografx-16 family of hardware. As the lone offering from 8-BitDo sucks balls.

The fact that Analogue is finally supporting a disc-based system means that the PSX clones can’t be too far away.

Death threats to follow.

With the “mask resistance” and other favorites of the Trump-era right, I just don’t understand. You look at their rallies and it’s like seeing a wild-eyed other species whose motivations and psychology are just incomprehensible to me.

Amazing. But also useless since it’s not coming to PlayStation and I don’t have a PC. Fingers crossed Sega either considers including this as a minigame in a future Yakuza title or somebody manages to do a full Streets of Kamurocho conversion on a Streets of Rage 2 rom.

I feel like the more pressing question is why a bunch of 17 year olds were competing in a full contact Karate tournament with no pads or headgear, a decade before the Ultimate Fighting Championships was a thing.

I actually wasn’t repeating what you wrote - about the only thing we agree on is that PlayStation 2 backwards compatibility on the PlayStation 5 is unlikely. But, whatever.

I’m the wrong person to ask. Most of what I know of these things comes from Digital Foundry videos. With a very small amount gleaned from my emulation enthusiast days.

Either way. My laziness spans generations.

I’d be happy to just see the frame pacing issues present in both Bloodborne and Final Fantasy XV vanish, but wouldn’t say no to 60 frames per second, either.

JRPGs. With the caveat that over the years I’ve found myself to be a Final Fantasy fan first and JRPG fan second. (And even among the exceptions, most everything comes from Square.)

I already said it was a long shot.
