Yes, cameras....but I don’t want one sitting on my dash if it’s OEM :)

The ability to continually upgrade the entertainment and navigation systems.

Dashcams should be standard, perhaps even legally mandated on cars. This is especially true on cars with cameras already integrated for safety features, just give me an SD card slot to capture the video on. I feel so dumb with a dashcam right next to my Eyesight cameras in my Outback. I know Teslas and C8 Corvettes

It’s time for police to start enforcing this. It’s illegal. But no one seems to ever enforce it. And it’s a big problem. Either spend the money on proper upgraded headlights or don’t change them. HID or LED bulbs in halogen projectors is not okay. I have some insanely bright aftermarket off road lights - and when I

Well made auto levelling headlights, and especially the matrix ones we can’t even get in the US because of dumb rules make most of that moot. I feel like people with LED bulb conversion kits are the biggest culprits to what you’re talking about.

So much this. A lot of newer cars that have AA or CarPlay have spot for your phone but on too many of them it is not big enough for the phone to sit flat with the cable plugged in.

What’s worse is that many people are just doing an LED bulb swap, completely ignoring the well-engineered firing patterns from the OEM reflector housing.  So now you have a bright side-firing light which reaches half as far, and you’re blinding people while reducing your overall distance visibility.

How about just a simple smartphone holder integrated into the dash or console? Or at least a standardized mount for aftermarket holders.

DRLs. I’ve complained about this in the past too. DRLs are only on the front, but they frequently produce enough light to trick the driver into thinking the full-fledged headlights are on, especially if there is enough ambient light at your starting point.

its 2021. there is no reason for any company to be using halogen bulbs. xenon should be standard with led being premium.

The worst is LED “replacement” bulbs in a reflector housing designed for a filament bulb. Those kinds of bulbs may indeed fit and plug in to the back of the headlight housing, but they often do not offer near the same light pattern as the original bulb.

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve seen people with their headlights illuminated but no tail light lights. This can't be more than simple coding line. Automatic headlights on ? Taillights illuminate automatically.

When you say “front/rear cameras” you mean dash cams, right? I agree with you there. Don’t know why more manufacturers haven’t jumped on that faster. When I think of factory dash cams, Corvette is the only car that comes to mind.

Automatic headlights is the only right answer. And make it so that it defaults to Auto. Can’t tell you how often I see people driving around in the dark thinking their lights are on.

Some cars with rain sensing wipers will “talk” to the headlights, which is ideal IMO. For example, my 2017 Mazda will turn the lights on IF the wipers have been at constant wipe speed for ~10 seconds or so.  I wish they were recalibrated to turn the lights on for any wipe speed.

This. It’s even the law here in MA that you need to have your lights on when your wipers are on. People still don’t do it and they’re damn near invisible in all the road spray.

Covering any piano black trim inside with something matte.

Optional Front/Rear cameras. Or at least some switched power sources behind the rear-view.

Automatic headlights AND synchronization of the exterior lights and the windshield wipers.
