I still get my Top Gear fix, and I find the current lineup of Harris, Flintoff, and McGuinness very good. Great camaraderie out of all of them. It was a bit of a rough go through the Chris Evans and Matt LeBlanc years. Though I do miss the Star in a Reasonably Priced Car bits, and I wish they brought that back.

Russians do have a way of influencing these types of test results.

It would devolve into a single pop-up pretty quickly.

Consider that Duluth gets the warming effect from the lake. Cities inland on the iron range (Hibbing, Virginia, Eveleth) will dip into the -40s.

Agreed on all counts. They also really need to make wider back seats, or at least a viable 3rd row for not a lot of money. Model Y is not a viable 3rd row vehicle. Model X and Rivians are too expensive. Only the Lightning looks to finally fit the comfortable back seat for a reasonable price, once it’s available.

I think Amazon’s investment in Rivian is bringing something like this to the US. May be building on spec or at least working with local vehicle companies for local delivery trucks instead of trying to import.

The Lightning is the only EV that can affordably and comfortably carry a family of 5. That’s my primary reason for considering it as my next car. Next best thing is the Pacifica PHEV, but everything else is either too small or too expensive.

Bonus points if they get the Disney license and have Chris Hemsworth be in the commercial.

especially since it’s right in Hershey’s backyard.

Indianapolis. It’s generally a great race with great pomp and circumstance for the fans. It’s fun to walk around and see everything there is to see with so much history. Logistics are pretty easy to get there, too, given buses from downtown Indy and easy parking with relatively affordable prices in the surrounding

Can’t understand why there isn’t a line of teams waiting to sign her. The presentations I’ve seen on her qualifications are incredibly convincing.

Hopefully because of the Caprices sold to US cop fleets, some parts should be more readily available. Also, first gen new Camaro is on the same platform (Zeta) so again...maybe not AS bad like trying to get Pontiac GTO/Holden Monaro parts.

Now that Navistar is a part of Traton I’m curious how it will pan out. I think it will bring more MAN engines in North America (Navistar A26 is basically a modified MAN design already) and Cummins may lose one of their biggest customers, (still have PACCAR at least) with MAN having a full lineup of engines available

Sterling was Daimler buying the Ford AeroMax tooling after Ford got out of the Class 8 commercial truck business. They later slapped a Sterling badge on some cab-only RAM chassis. Pretty sure Daimler thought it was silly to have THREE separate brands on the Class 8 side, and killed off Sterling while keeping

Prevailing Chrysler culture came from AMC. Everything run from a shoestring budget as a fast-follower on technology of their competitors. Development timelines are a year or so less than GM or Ford. Run the tooling until it falls apart. Run engine designs far past their competitiveness (Tigershark)

They did have the CXT and MXT for a bit in the 2000s where they threw a bed on to a commercial chassis. CXT came in at 25,999 lbs so you didn’t need a CDL to drive it. MXT was a bit smaller.

Less of weird spot and more the lack of a button at a normal spot: My Mazda 6 doesn’t have a trunk release ON THE TRUNK. I have to go into the car and hit the button on the lower dash or use the key fob button.

Both engines I despised were/are Chryslers. The 2.5L in my mom’s 88 Plymouth Voyager (my high school car) was AWFUL and it had to be recalled for a ringpack (seriously?!) issue, and I threw a rod at 86k. Engine didn’t even make it 100k, and I wasn’t even capable of doing stupid stuff in it to cause the involuntary

So free those hot snakes spray that ass vomit in the fresh air.

I’ve been pulling for McLaughlin all season because V8 Supercars are awesome. He's not starting super great, but Penske has a hell of a team and great strategy, and the 500 is the race where starting position has far less of an influence on the finish than other IndyCar races.
