to be fair, your gas was from a bad mix out of the Whiting refinery, though where that gas came from very easily could've been "cleanup remnants" from the Deepwater and bad processing of an odd base product.

Consider that #9 was definitely not a new bridge, so saying it shouldn't have collapsed because of modern design techniques that weren't available when it was built is kind of stupid.
Isn't meth a thing out there, too? I know it's a big deal in western MN, so I'm just kind of assuming. Maybe it's more of a Willmar thing.
4th Gear: If they really wanted to clamp down on drunk driving, they shouldn't allow bars to have parking lots.
Rolling Coal is all the assholes fault. Emissions systems are pretty complex and they have to meet very stringent requirements. However, a Sawzall and a Bully Dog will get that thing smoking in no time. It is a federal crime to remove emissions treatment devices from a vehicle, but nobody ever enforces it except those…
Navistar isn't really doing too well right now, so new product from them will be a long time coming until they fix what is wrong with their current products. Funny thing is it was reported that Nissan and Navistar were close to putting a diesel in a Titan 6 years ago. Looks like Nissan (rightly) decided to find a…
It will reduce competition in the sense that some hubs which used to have direct flights between American and US Airways are now not competing. This won't be as much of a problem with larger cities which have more than one airline with an established hub, but consider the issues with say Miami and Philadelphia. Once a…
I have not used the Tesla screen, but I have used other automotive touchscreens with fairly awful results overall. Granted, my automotive touchscreen experiences have stayed to the lower end of the automotive spectrum, and those are generally more half-assed attempts compared to higher-end offerings. From your…
I'm a Tesla lover. I think their products are absolutely gorgeous and Mr. Musk has the commitment to keep it going and to help build the infrastructure. My only problem with the Model S is the massive touchscreen. I'd rather they have at least the option of using standard sound system and HVAC controls.
Wolfman Rob and The Onion's Joe Biden sound like they could make a hell of a tag team.
This is analogous to saying that abstinence is the only 100% effective form of birth control. They are right in that IF you don't want any football-related injuries, the best way of avoiding them is just to not play football.
HFO-1234yf is the hip new trend. Cadillac ATS I think has it already, though that's the only one I've heard of state-side so far.
I feel really bad for doing so, but it really is the only other 24-hour everything-in-the-world store in America. I guess a better analog would be a SuperTarget that doesn't close, but even SuperTarget still lacks in a few areas that Meijer covers. Meijer is just that great.
It fills the same niche as Walmart, but I don't feel at all unclean going to Meijer.
Every state in America should allow us the privilege of honoring the late great Intimidator. RIP #3.
Those Montana plates look like an intern went crazy with WordArt and clip art in PowerPoint. Yeesh.
Does John Lennon have anything to do with Florida? That "Imagine" plate seems to have absolutely no reason to exist.
Neutral: Well, I'm in the Detroit metro, so aside from the whole bankruptcy thing, it's actually feeling pretty good. I feel what is really limiting the economy is that they can't fill job openings fast enough. Tons of open technical positions in the area.
Meh. Me thinks this is just a small shake-down track that has been used in the past to make sure everything feels out alright. (probably run laps in 1 out of 100 or so for spot checks) This thing probably wasn't designed for higher than 35-40 (seriously, former Corolla/Prism plant doesn't necessarily scream speed) and…
