I see Life in Aggro are also hyped for Dragon Quest Builders 2. Good; I hope the game performs well because the first, despite its flaws, is one of my favorite in the genre.

Epic’s intentions are pretty clear - they want to secure an audience for their platform by either turning Rocket League into an exclusive title or offering exclusive content to users who bought the game through their store.

The owners of Psyonix must be walking away with truckloads of cash.

3 seasons is more than enough to write a good, complete story, but the writers need to be able to plan for that. If they go into the show thinking that it will run indefinitely for as long as it’s successful then they’re going to write a show without a conclusion rather than a mini-series.

The Guardian Ape is really one of the best boss experiences I’ve ever had in a game. The fight is both interesting and difficult. You can tell the Ape’s history simply by looking at him, as well as through flavor dialog with the sculptor. The fake-out is sublime. 10/10 first experience.

There are 403 NA retail games for the 3DS, then there are also eShop only games, and virtual console games. The 3DS also likely isn’t the only console that gamers use, so their time is further divided.

Given how little they pay their employees, anime publishers must be making money hand over fist on anime, right?

After getting shouted down with “this is for kids, moron; obviously it’s not going to compare to other VR” when I mentioned how this experience is going to be really bad, this article is fucking delicious. Eat shit, fanboys.

There are a few websites that sort of emulate the scheduled nature of traditional TV. Check out Pluto TV, CyTu.be, and Taima.tv. These all have videos running all the time, and you can just drop into a channel, see what’s playing, then switch if you don’t like it.

Jesse’s actor did a good job with the voice; it’s very true to the US dub of the anime. All of the Pokemon, on the other hand, make me very uncomfortable.

I played this a bit when the early access demo was a part of Humble Monthly. I had a lot of fun with it; it was a pretty chill game for the most part, and the one dungeon in the demo had fun little puzzles. I didn’t realize it was releasing tomorrow; maybe I’ll buy it.

I’m excited to see what’s next for Reggie. He still seems energetic and passionate, so I wonder if he’s going to become a consultant or something like that.

Shit, now I have to brush my teeth to get this taste out of my mouth. I can’t stand Rumiko Takahashi’s manga.

Heads up, the link at this part:

I actually like the illustrations; I wonder who the artist was.

Now playing

I think the issues you’re talking about just come with the territory for bubblegum pop. Very Very Very is good for what it is - a catchy tune meant to sell as many units as possible. There really isn’t any artistry to it. A lot of the songs performed by Produce 101's groups are like that.

lol what? Look at martial arts - some of the most competitive athletes take a passive/reactionary approach. They land a few blows, score points, then avoid taking damage or yielding points. If their opponent screws up then they’ll punish them for it, but there’s no point in taking risk to be aggressive if the rules

The competitors in a tournament aren’t employed by the event organizers. They’re there for the express purpose of winning the tournament and bringing home the prize money. If the tournament organizers want participants to be invested in the success of the tournament as a spectator sport then they should incentivize

I can’t wait until someone makes a mod that allows her to be your companion.

Myst is pretty great as long as you don’t mind not knowing what the hell you’re doing for an hour at a time before you finally cave and look at a guide. I was never really interested in it at the time, (it was far too slow-paced,) but my father loved the original.
