This whole spectacle reminds me of how the Cerulean Knights would ban players in .Hack.

This is hardly the only game that was once and is no longer available online.

I jump around a lot.

But how do I know which I want to play in that moment?

I haven’t updated in like 6 months just so I can have the convenience of a flash cart. I don’t even want to pirate anything, I just want to not carry around 50 little chips.

IDK about the DS Mario Kart, but in the Wii U one there’s a replay feature where you can follow any racer throughout the entire race. I guess we could check how many times AI racers hit each other vs how many times they hit the player if we really wanted to. It’s just a lot of work.

The Xenogears commercial is just annoying. All that flickering is distracting and it’s like twice as long as it should be.

Here’s what I don’t get about this one: If it’s pronounced “creapu” then why write it as “creap?” I know that a lot of words adopted in to Japanese have an “u” sound at the end. Wouldn’t it just make sense to write such words with the letter “u” in it in order to avoid confusion?

If it’s not “moss” then do we pronounce each letter as if it were “M.O.S.?”

When service providers are charging $100 to home consumers to watch the match it’s no surprise that people are trying to pirate it. Seriously, it’s ridiculous that they expect someone to pay $100 for what could be a 30 second fight. They also gouged prices for establishments, so you couldn’t even get in to a bar to

It’ll probably be fine. I don’t think that this changes anything for the average user. Game devs are already checking for and banning hackers, so removing the games which they’re already banned from their library won’t really affect them. Likewise, unless devs go apeshit with unwarranted bans, I don’t think that it’ll

I mean... it does make me want to play.

For some reason Luke didn’t mention this, but a large number of the screenshots are actually done through DeSmuME, which is a DS emulator for PC and Mac. I’m not sure if he just forgot to or was trying not to draw hype away from Drastic.

I wouldn’t rebuy if I still had the original, but I’d certainly buy the game again if I no longer had it.

While there is certainly a resemblance between the character and the man, it seems to me that he would have a hard time proving that the character is based off of him. Unless a member of Kojima met the doctor a substantial amount of time before the first trailer released, I don’t see how he’s going to prove anything.

As of like a month ago. Prior to that Square was just like “don’t worry, this is still a thing,” for about a decade.

It’s probably the #3 vaporware of all time behind Duke Nukem Forever and Half-Life 3, and just ahead of Final Fantasy 15 and Kingdom Hearts 3.

Looks like it is currently being hugged to death. 502 errors all around.

In one case you’re working for a company and earning a steady wage, in another you’re self-employed (or doing it as a hobby) and crossing your fingers. The two aren’t really comparable. From what I’ve read online, the median annual salary for a 2D animator working for a company in the US is about 50K. They’re not
