Saw one of those today. When I was a kid, my friend's mom had one (and then traded it in on one with exposed headlights) and I've wanted one ever since. Don't care if it's a K-car, still love how it looks.

I've got shackles on my 75 Dart; they were on there when I bought it. They make the ass sit about an inch higher than my 72. I wanna take them off and take it back to stock, but my headers hang so low under the car I'm afraid I'll tear them up even worse. And that's basically the whole story of that car: to fix one

I care about the 20s, 30s, and 40s!

First 16" wheel/tire combo of the modern era; I know 20s/30s/40s Fords had 16 inch wheels from the factory. I think the 50s and 60s is when 14s and 15s caught on, then the 80s started sending the fashion back towards 16s and bigger.

Yeah I don't like the name, but Ford was doing the whole "every Merucry starts with an M! That'll save the company!" thing at the time. And of course Ford does that with Ford models now. The name itself though kinda conveyed what they wanted it to; "this is a classy minivan". But to anyone with knowledge of automotive

Hahaha, I've got one of those, an 04 Monterey. I think I'm the only owner of one ever that knows where the name came from.

Unfairly lumped into the "hair band" category. They weren't a hair band, they were and still are a damn good straight up rock band.

I love the Marlin. I don't see how folks can dig the 1st gen Charger and not like the Marlin; they're both great looking mid-60s fastbacks.

I drove Volvos for awhile and even 10 year old VNs I liked better than brand new Freightliner Cascadias. Damn good trucks.

But you're comparing the driving areas, which aren't that big of a deal for U.S. drivers. The sleeper on a VNL is wider than the driving area by a good bit. I've driven plenty of trucks with varying front cab widths and I've never cared how narrow or wide that part is, only how big my sleeper was.

Holy crap man, it's like talking to a mentally disturbed bum, isn't it? Everyone's entitled to their own political opinions but calling someone a dickhead and then repeatedly trying to prove them wrong on something they didn't say...that's special.

Wow, that video on that link is chilling. Imagine the terror those folks felt as that car came flying at them at what probably felt like a million miles an hour.

With as much computerization everything in cars these days have, I don't see why someone couldn't make it. Although, with all the in-car entertainment systems that are present, I don't think designers these days are interested in drivers keeping their hands on the wheel.

Hahaha, we all mistakes. That's why I didn't say something like "You retard, it's an automatic." like a lot of other commenters would've. I know I've made bigger more obvious mistakes myself!

It's an automatic.

With cars, I subscribe to the "If you can't afford it cash, you can't afford it" theory.

I'm from Memphis, but I lived in Wisconsin for 6 months and what astounded me was how divided the town was. There was the upper middle class white neighborhood, the lower class white neighborhood, the Mexican neighborhood, and the black neighborhood and everybody sticks in their designated area. I stopped in the black

I'm the opposite: I have to drive. Being a passenger scares me. When I broke my back and couldn't drive, I had to sit in the front seat and would literally be white knuckled the whole ride. I broke my back as a passenger in an 18-wheeler, team driving and sleeping before my shift, so my already massive anxiety as a

That happened to me. New baby and a court date while my wife and daughter were still in the hospital, both in pretty rough shape. You think I went to that court date? Fuck no, I was in that hospital the entire time they were. Then with all the chaos and adjusting to a new way of life with the newborn, completely

I have a Mercury minivan with three zone climate control. It has a bunch of chiclet like buttons to control all of it. It infuriates me because I have to look to see what I'm hitting; half the time when I'm trying to adjust the fan speed I hit the seat heaters - pretty annoying in 100 degree weather. I wish it just
