Sad.
Sad.
Ha, I just bought my soon to be ex wife one of these a couple weeks ago, basically as a trade to get the family minivan back from her (since I'm the one with the kid and disabled mother).
True enough, but there's no way in hell I'd take my nearly new XKR to Walmart.
Hey now, I sometimes have Walmart do my oil changes. They're not so bad, just gotta watch em. I used to work in that department at a Walmart so I know to watch em close.
You ever drove 80,000 pounds? If not, shut the fuck up, you don't know what you're talking about.
Really really hate to hear this. I have a 4 year old and can only imagine how heart wrenching it must be for this young child's family, let alone how hard it must be for him.
Seconded on Toyota Echo.
My cousin had a 79 as either her first or second car in the mid-80s (I was a baby so I dunno if it was her first or not).
Couldn't agree more about driving an 18-wheeler. Most fun thing I've ever driven. Miss em so much right now, might consider un-retiring.
The interior was straight from the SLK, with panels painted differently to try to make it look different. Which just proves the point, the slams the Crossfire took about its interior were the most honest reviews of the SLK interior ever.
The rear 3/4 view shows a lot of Venza/Sienna influence to my eyes.
I see Lincoln aiming more for the Lexus ES/Acura/Audi version of luxury versus the BMW/Mercedes version. Not immediately, mind you. Right now, if they've got their sights set on upper end Buicks and low end ES/Avalons/Acuras, I think that's where they should be aiming right now. They've got a destroyed image in the…
If you've already got a Spark hatchback, a Sonic hatchback, and in Europe a wagon Cruze, why not bring the wagon Cruze and make a station wagon version of Malibu and even the Impala.
A large part of the problem with the Malibu is its development was started before - and subsequently delayed during - the bankruptcy. At that point, the 'Bu was needing to shrink some to relieve some of the overlap it had with Impala. But then the Impala, whose development started AFTER bankruptcy, was decided to be a…
John Davis is indeed a God amongst men.
I drove tanker ones mostly, but a few flat beds here and there (I was in an Air Cav unit) and mannnnn....even in my Freightliner I never felt that invincible!
As a former motor pool guy, I agree about not wanting a HMMWV after driving several. The LMTVs and Hemmits though......
But the Aztek in a lot of ways was the forebear of the mid-to-large sized CUVs we have now. Sure they got some stuff wrong, but they actually were pretty on target with where the SUV/CUV movement was headed. No current CUV has any real off-road cred, most are even still sold as FWD versions. Very few manuals offered…
Bought my 75 Dart 360/727 a few weeks ago. Parts are cheap; think about it: it's all old technology and they made a ton of Valiants/Darts/Dusters/Demons/Volares. And if it's a Slant Six instead of a 360, the fuel economy's not bad. I'm just getting started on mine, new wheels and tires, polygraphite front end kit, DUI…
