I think you're right that the numbers would definitely drop if you included. Austin has a ton of transplants from all over the place. Even within Texas, you have lots of people from Houston and Dallas there that root for the Rockets and Mavs. Counting all the other tech transplants wold definitely lower the numbers.

I never understand this argument. NE San Antonio and SW Austin are less than 45 minutes away from each other, but people count them as two different markets. I can get from Austin to San Antonio faster than you can get from Brooklyn to Newark.

To be fair to the scouts, they said the same "distraction" stuff about Tebow. Scouts want a player to eat, sleep, and shit football.
