Well to their credit they had a magically glowing "he's telling the truth" device, so torture probably isn't necessary.
Misfits and Lost Girl doesn't air on US channels (though Misfits recently came to Hulu), and that's probably the reason why io9 doesn't recap them. Exactly the same reason they don't do episode recaps of BBCs Sherlock either, it's an US based site after all.
SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER:
Haha, I'm the same as you. At least Brandon writes a huge doorstopper novel every year, which makes the waiting times a lot more bearable.
I started both the A Song of Ice and Fire and The Wheel of Time when only the first book of their respective series was released...
I'm just 2nding the recommendation for "The Way of Kings". The world feels really different from the generic medieval stuff you get in most other fantasy works, and the magic is used in all kinds of badass ways.
Brandon has said on his blog that he plans to write 2 storm light archive books every 3 years, so the series will be finished in 14 years. So it's not as bad as GRRMs 6+ year gaps between books, but yeah, I totally agree.
Stormlight Archive by Brandon Sanderson: [...] Best Way It Will Help You Wait: This book has pictures. Pretty pictures. Want 1,000 pages for the price of one book? Wish granted.
I hope you are right, we need Rubys back story. STAT!
Well, if the new arrival turns out to be the big bad wolf, you might get your wish.
I've never been to a convenience store that didn't sell comics.
It wasn't for shooting 3 different types of bullets, but rather "just" a double barreled shotgun with a build-in under-barrel rifle as part of the design. They are (really rare) guns used for hunting: [en.wikipedia.org]
Interesting, got to try this out later.
Hodor Hodor Hodor. Hodor? Hodor! HODOR!
Yay, I get SVT.
Seriously, that trailer gets me every time. So good.

And since dogs eat meat the dogs could share in on the meal whenever they killed some dogs for fresh meat. That way the dogs could pull triple duty as pulling animals, food for the men, and feed for the (remaining!) dogs.
Don't worry. I've heard that they are already thinking about a sequel.
