If you had taken the trouble to read my original comment, you would see that my concern is that the screen may get scratched if made of plastic OR BROKEN IF MADE OF GLASS. Sure gorilla glass is tough, but iphones show how easy it is to shatter. This design with the bulging glass makes the screen even more vulnerable…

Use your common sense. Plastic will get scratched by sand. Pocket grit often contains bits of sand or rock. Eventually everything plastic ends up with tiny scratches due to abrasion. This is no different and your link is a drop test, totally something else.
