Oooh meta, I like.

"If you call a bike a gadget I will laugh at you. To your face. Over the internet."

How Its Made is like a documentary about jobs that I never want to have.

Here is how retarded your point is: Ballmer HIMSELF lists Apple as a competitor. Or maybe you know more about business than he does. I guess I must be having a blog argument with Brin.

The argument you are making here is that the only two major computer OS companies are no more competitors than Apple and Lockheed? That is insane. I understand being dedicated to winning an argument but this is unreal.

The irony of giving people advice on the internet about the futility of giving people advice on the internet is amazing. Pick up your award for most hypocritical comment of the year at your local Arby's.

You compare companies to their competitors. This is relevant. This is so basic to fundamental business practice I cannot believe it has to be explained. Despite making some different products, they are very much relevant competitors. Your Lockheed argument is fucking retarded.

Not all pictures are worth 100 words.

I'm not going to say I completely understand evolution and genetics. I do know enough to know that when people start extrapolating from one species to the next, the results are mixed at best. I also know that people seem to have some crazy fascination with using their intuition to make predictions about how if and

It is really hard to observe selection but it does occur and we do seem to be evolving, even at a faster rate.

Thanks for the comment expressing your lack of interest in this article. Oh wait, I don't give a single fuck whether it interested you or not. Knock it off with the memespam before you get destarred.

Would this logic hold up if Giz had african american writing staff and a writer called the regular iphone....

When I make minor claims in papers, reviewers demand multiple independent verifications. No physicist can publish anything more than an anonymous memo like this without getting torn apart by his colleagues if everything doesn't add up perfectly. Scientists take this stuff extremely seriously.

Yeah, that's not how science works. If someone publishes a paper, someone else can get pretty famous for just showing evidence debunking the first paper. For something important to be falsified, you'd have to have a conspiracy involving every researcher capable of producing data. Also, physicists want everlasting

I do look to grow in knowledge but this is not really what I'd call knowledge. I think of knowledge as learning the rules of nature or behavior or incentive structure. To me, these types of things are just trivia, elaborate rules constructed for no reason except to separate people based on whether or not they know

The argument you are using is a slippery slope argument. That type of argument presupposes there is no way to draw a bright line between a reasonable and unreasonable scenario. All that would need to be done here is that the artist simply make a claim and stick to it. He would just have to say "I want to make a

Nice write-up. This was on Gizmodo before, however. A picture of the final toaster would be good. It is a rough looking object at best.

Every time I see the little 'response' icon light up, I wince a little in anticipation of what is often a... not so bright response. This one was good, well played!
