@schall129: Those aren't really science either so it would be just trading one bad science concept for another.

There is a little humor to be found in a blog posting about bad science in movies when there is usually a daily example of bad science on said blog.

@StupidPopMediaReference: Wheels are pretty expensive and a second bike even moreso. The obvious benefit here is that it is a cheap solution to an unexpected snowstorm in climates that normally do not experience much if any snow.

@blash: Pretty sure the point here is to provide a solution for people who live in an area where blizzards AREN'T a problem normally but how have been hit with abnormal weather.

@zophiel: Haters gonna hate...

@jerrygspin: I like your optimistic take better. Pro photographers can do some amazing stuff but now with access to good gear, amateurs can make near-equivalent art. You don't always need a helicopter...

@RacecarBoobTat: Agreed. Giz knows we don't care, why pepper us with stories about tech we don't like?

"as random as the normal squeak" seems to be making some big assumptions about how random squeaking is. A prey animal would not want to make noise without a purpose. That would be highly selected against.

Yeah, that connector ribbon looks pretty legit, no problems there.

@Xylias: What is "appifying the web"?

If only the yelp.com website looked half as attractive. The current design makes my eyes sad.

@nbergseng: Stop trolling, it is stupid.

@David: Yeah, bikes aren't going to replace cars anytime soon. Stop being so melodramatic, David.

@TVs_Frank: If there is physical evidence you were in the wrong, then you could be in trouble. However if you did nothing wrong, you will not go to jail or otherwise get in trouble with the state, the burden of proof it too high.

@TVs_Frank: Pretty much. If I cut you off and you hit me, that would be my fault pure and simple.

@nbergseng: Why is it always morons who use the word "moron"?

I can't believe how much anti-bicycle nonsense is flying around here. If someone rides a bike, everyone benefits. Cleaner air, the limited resource of oil is used up less quickly, lower healthcare costs, smaller trade deficit (assuming both bikes and cars are made overseas).

@jinushaun: I rode for the UC Berkeley cycling team, and commute every day rain or shine. I strongly disagree. (also depends on how you define blame when you have a car passing on the left and someone opens a door in front of you)

Needs more Fallout references.
