@kaffenated: You point about this being unnecessary tech is true, you can get a nice dual probe thermometer for 1/3 the price.

@kaffenated: I call bullshit on this. Pick up Cook's Illustrated's Best Recipe cookbook and read about cooking a turkey. How do you know it is done? By checking the temperature of the breast and thigh meat. That's how they do it, that's how they instruct people to do it. Many other cookbooks have similar

@QLAB: I replied to this guy's inflammatory comments on another thread. Same story, he got immediately cornered due to the poorly thought out point of view. He then backed out ungracefully afterward. I'd say sorry you got trolled but I'd have to include myself. We got trolled.

It is a really attractive looking machine, too bad they shut it down. What do you do with it now? Landfill?

@Mihos: The fact that you are saavy enough to notice IE9's limitations sort of support the point that marketing IE9 to giz users doesn't work.

@AwokeKnowing: The wheel hadn't been invented, that's mentioned a number of times already but you list it as an idea. You suggest that men could just carry a 45 ton rock, not possible. You can't get the required number of men around a rock of that size. Rolling on logs makes sense, but how exactly does one do that

@Benedinho: So if I am a solitary guy with a low IQ, is my sandcastle the most amazing of all?

@AwokeKnowing: No seriously, you mentioned "SO many ways they could've done it". Well, what are they? Spyder is right, this is trolling.

@AwokeKnowing: OK then what are those many ways to get this done? Remember, no wheels or metal. Also, academics are not confused by how this COULD have been done, they wonder how it was ACTUALLY done. Big difference.

From wikipedia "Fiber cement is a composite material made of sand, cement and cellulose fibers."

@Ramrod-the-Destroyer: Hmm.. that review was not-so-positive "something as pedestrian as a Buick". Also, that is a rebranded Opel Insignia, not really a Buick except in badge alone.

@iconeater: Yeah, I think your point was that choosing to advertise IE9 on Gizmodo is like choosing to advertise a Buick on Jalopnik.

What, no keyboard?

@iconeater: If ads bother you, I've heard about this AdBlocker extension...

"eliminating explosives from the ship, ... brings significant safety benefits "... They just need ... a nuclear reactor.

@Mike43110: Thanks for bringing that to my attention Mike. You are allowed to rewrite one lab assignment per semester. Grading on the 1st assignment will be relaxed.

Graphs need error bars, ESPECIALLY when you measure time with an error-prone human. It is not that hard, just measure a few times, take an average, and calculate the standard deviation.

@emacg6: Oh thanks! :)
