@ingolstadt: Actually there are plenty of people who opt out of getting their balls touched by doctors, even when they have a problem. You see men with softball size tumors come in to the hospital. (they often die of these tumors that were operable if they came in sooner. they die rather than have their balls

@YellowRex: Upvote for reference to popular design poster. Second upvote for sensible advice.

I am a bit rusty on my line-saving etiquette, but saving spots for 10 people? At that point, why not claim the entire line and charge people for a spot at the front? Wait.... I gotta go.

RNA molecules that could replicate themselves was the bottleneck moment that preceded the explosion of life. Presumably all life descended from that one molecule. And now it happens a second time...

@DH: I LOLed

@ikaiyoo: Cooling air causes condensation but that occurs in the AC machine, which is why they drip. The air that gets pumped out is cool and dry. As the air heats, it is capable of absorbing more water so it should keep it drier. Now if it cooled the box, on the outside the hot wet air might condense but that

@C141Clay: I really don't get the duct tape. It is never the ideal or often even acceptable solution. Hot glue is handy, but mainly for crafts. Man projects need more adhesive than simple glues, although an epoxy is quite nice.

@OMG! Red!: This is a practice that will leave you well-suited for marriage.

@ddhboy: I'm also an adult and I like this. I would like my wallet to be as thin as possible. That means getting rid of cards. If my phone allows me to get rid of just a few, then that means something. It means my sacral vertebrae get just that much closer to being properly aligned when I sit down.

Humans will go extinct if humanity squanders all the Earth's resources before physics figures out how to reach another habitable planet. This is why I believe sustainability is not just some feel-good notion but actually necessary.

@cmdtacos: Between this drill and my table saw, I've been able to make everything from a bike shed to book shelves to spice racks. Totally agree.

For aspiring handymen like myself, a nice cordless drill is a good place to start. I bought a Makita kit that has two batteries and a flashlight, all of which are handy. I have seen drills with levels built in to make sure screws are going in level. Such a great idea.

OK, so they are more talented as viral video makers than musicians. That is still kinda cool. What I can't figure out is how do they make money? Do people pay for the song when the video is free and much more interesting?

@Sprzout: It looks to me like the core OS apps are blue or silver like the Finder, Safari, Mail, Quicktime, and the just silver Calc and Settings.

@Duane Young: Whoa whoa whoa, look on their site? What am I, Sherlock Holmes?

I like the new icon. It is pretty simple, compared to the overly detailed Handbrake and Papers icon. Even the Firefox icon seems fussy. iTunes is about music primarily so the note makes sense. I wish they'd change the program entirely to make it about media management but, until they do, iTunes and a simple note

@MaxPoint: Then you have two things to lose. Perhaps it swivels around and stores underneath the pinchers. That must be it.

They look nice but for $50 they should be at least as useful as the $2 clipper they replace. With that unpocketable lever sticking out, these have a pretty significant design drawback.

If this functioned as electromagnetic shielding as well and effectively hardened the motherboard, it could be worth it. Eventually there will be a nasty sunspot that ruins everyone's day.
