@Nihilexistentialist: The person who wrote the article has a different directive: to generate page views. That is the job of a blogger. So they take controversial views and BOOM, money.

@JensRex: If you want to discredit my argument for lack of citation, you better be able to provide one yourself. I'm not ***** wikipedia.

@Dapke36: Agreed, my point is that "as it is sold" is different than "as it will be used" and the latter is more common and thus more important.

@token_liberal: I agree, you should not have to buy a case. However, since the majority of people use a case, I would call that normal usage. Since most people plan on buying a case, this is a non-issue for them. It is only an issue for those that want a naked gadget. That should be the point of the article.

@Nihilexistentialist: The bias is that although the data is shown in the graphs, the discussion fails to raise this important point.

@CarbonatedFalcon: Yes! That is another issue. Any respectable PhD would apply a t test to determine if the results are statistically significant. Without the t test, no conclusions can be drawn.

@spl150db: Reread my post and notice I never mentioned the iphone 4, I was talking about the iphone. As in the entire product line, the brand. Come on.

Way to downplay the important result that if the phone is used with a case, the problem goes away.

@Matt0505: I'm pretty sure that "contradictory message" was the actual meaning of the sentence.

@Apostropartheid: A good point, past success does not prevent future failure. This phone seems fine to me, as I plan to use a case. Naked gadget lovers may have a point but, in the grand scheme of things, a small point.

@Hakeem5: Apple's iphone has the highest customer satisfaction rating of any product ever. Try your troll elsewhere, there is too much data here.

@MVorgitch: I like Giz to for the reasons you articulated so well. However the large majority of the recent posts about Apple have presented no information, just more speculation about signal strength or a joke about the Iron Bar meme Diaz seems hell-bent on trying to create (side note: creating your own meme is like

@Rick Lyon: Actually the "truth" I am referring to is that all news sources at this point demonstrate overwhelming bias. Make sure to take a look at the "@" address so you can follow the conversational threads.

@TomXP411: I think what the original poster is getting at is that every company has problems and occasionally individual customers are left holding the bag. However, on average Apple does much better than anyone else. Thus it makes sense to stick with Apple.

@Dacker: First the bumper is made of plastic, silicone and metal for the buttons. Second, many other companies make worse cases that cost the same amount and no one bitches about those.

@Chris Pratt: Agreed, I mean how many posts can Giz squeeze out of this reception issue? 12? This is insane. I wish they'd get back to, you know gadget news.
